"That leaves us with..."

"Me!" Midnight dropped from the sky ambushing Remey who clearly knew she was there.

As much as Midnight had been making a game of following Su before, she had been losing her focus the more food stalls that the group passed by. When Gil joined and they started to talk about Onyx and then Midnight, she had decided it was the perfect time to leap in to action.

The small game had also been mirrored by three little hatchlings just learning to use their wings to glide from the nearby balcony to a smaller shop. The dragonkin working there had fully supported their ambush like activities as a way to learn to fly better.

Others would have most likely allowed it too. The way that genesis developed was odd for sure, but if anything, it was very supportive for the young who were learning their way around the world.

"Sneaking training and glide practice is done for now, you three should follow this street all the way down and then turn right. That is where the adventurer guild is. You then need to ask for a guide home, there are several new adventurers looking to get experience by helping people like you. You are on a mission, you hear?" Gil also sent the three extremely excited hatchlings on their way.

It was a smooth move for sure and Walker could only tell that Gil would be doing perfectly fine once he became a father. Then again, he wondered if Gil interacted with the younger elves a lot and that was also how he had developed such good skills when dealing with children.

Regardless, Remey quickly managed to beat Remey in their small fight because Midnight was still not as adept in brawling as Remey let alone when she was in her dragonkin form and not in her dragon form. Not that Midnight would take her dragon from here, the streets were crowded enough as it was.

"So, you will come with us to the outer elemental planes?" Walker saw that Midnight was waiting to be properly asked.

"I want to explore and eat!" Midnight had made her choice but she also seemed a lot more energetic. From what Walker could tell, she had been feeling beaten down by the mental stress of leadership training and improvement. It had stifled her natural desire to bounce about and explore. Hence her time with the hatchlings once she had gotten free of training.

He could also see that she had more mindfulness of these things too and was looking around at everyone else with even more excitement. She already knew that Onyx was busy but she wasn’t saying anything about being disappointed, she accepted that he was busy and could not come as well.

"Alice will come too?"

"No, she is working on some new forms of healing. She believes that she can help those who have the dark flame healing skills with their dual dark and fire affinity. She just needs to figure out someone to make the dual bandages and healing staves that they could use."

Seeing that he spent the most time with her, Walker knew this for a fact. He just wished he could bring her too. Yet, he also understood that she probably could not come even if she did not have her own duties to manage. Right now, she was very much dedicated to her path as a leader that would grow even more healers to help others within genesis.

She had taken time with Walker and the two had grown even closer and started their own path to potentially building their own family. It was something that she had been worried about because of their individual goals keeping them too busy to be together. But now that they had taken time for themselves and properly discussed their futures, she did not have that weight holding her back.

It allowed her to clearly focus more on what she would accomplish and bring back to show off to Walker when he inevitably did something amazing again too.

"Then everyone should be ready." Walker smiled a little too much and everyone knew exactly what he was about to do.

By their next breath, they had all been pulled along with space mana and appeared halfway through the bridge to the elemental planes. "We can just walk through the dark elemental plane and get there quickly. Or I can keep teleporting us. The space mana is a lot more accepting once you learn that it doesn’t need to be bent to move with it or through it."

His understanding of space was becoming more of a habit than it was becoming a challenge for him. Whether it was his newer and better understanding of his physical body and the flow of mana within him or not didn’t much matter. Everyone in the party always had their best gear and items with them, so he knew all too well that they were ready to do what they needed right now without issue.

Besides, he also understood that he was able to help them get whatever they needed while she was in the elemental airplanes.

"I wanted to take more time to get ready." Su sighed before they were teleported again. This time when they stopped they were in the middle of a grassy plain. The grass was greys and blacks all seeding and being eaten by smaller flying black feathered birds. The obsidian finch species of monster that was known for moving quickly through shadows with the only intention of eating whatever seed it could feasibly get its beak on.

"So now what? You dragged us in to the middle of the dark elemental alone and not anywhere near that hollow eyed race prison. We have to just walk about and...?"

Gil trailed off as he looked at the shape of a larger bird. "It’s a mammoth raven. It is watching over the area because it is a guardian of here. I was able to sense it when we showed up. It also knows the true dark sage and will be the one to look over one clutch of the monster eggs we found. That’s why I used space to drop us here." Walker had taken the eggs with him because it was the safest way to handle them.

He hadn’t said anything even to the tamers since only Mordant and the true dark sage needed to know. He also knew that the mammoth raven was a monster that had deep ties to the dark mana and could communicate using it. Therefore, the true dark sage had set it all up and Walker just needed to finish the journey when he had the chance.

As such, the clutch of eggs was wrapped in feathery darkness before the area grew darker and the raven was lost from sight. Before anyone else could say anything, they were pulled through space and left with a tired looking Walker.

"And you have overdone it all." Su sighed and nudged Remey so that she could give Walker a mana potion. He had used a lot of mana to move them rapidly and in a distance exhausting a lot of his internal mana in general along with his stored space mana. It left him needing a breather and a little sheepish since he was trying to show off to his friends here.

Then again, this was the only chance he would have for some time while he did so. Entering the outer elemental planes again and searching for more potential ways to create dungeons or expand his multi dimensional storage properly was a big deal.

He would need to focus and lean on the party for help. He would also have to make note that he would have to do his best to ensure that they learned more than just what he could do from this experience.

He wanted to see what else they could learn about the outer elemental planes and beings further out there, he wanted to learn more about how the origin race lived and what they did in terms of the greater elemental planes and the world.

If they could delve in to all of this properly, then the information could spur generations of growth while also clearing up misinformation.

The world was brilliant and full of potential, but the knowledge might not necessarily be everything that they were in need of. They might need to have bigger picture information to properly orient those with genius ideas. Something to put life in perspective.

Besides, Walker saw that Remey and Midnight were already getting distracted by the stranger looking fruits growing on a few of the dark affinity plants along the dwindling edges of the dark elemental plane. They might even start to eat them or experiment with them if he didn’t appraise them sooner.
