Chapter 309: Chapter 309: Unparalleled Summons
The skeletal dragon descended next with blue flames erupting from its mouth.
The flames swallowed Gor’thala up entirely and the Iron Vultures members celebrated upon seeing that everything up ahead had been engulfed.
Suddenly, a glowing slash emerged from inside the inferno, splitting the flames apart.
However, the flames wasn’t the only thing that was split...
"KUUARRHHHHH!"
The dragon’s scream echoed throughout the battlefield as it’s left wing detached while Gor’thala burst from the flames unharmed with her sword emitting a bright green glow.
All eight fists of the giant ape descended simultaneously towards her direction.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
The ground shattered repeatedly while Gor’thala danced through the barrage, evading the strikes.
Her blade flashed across the air and in the next instant, one arm fell...
But it didn’t end there...
Shiiinnnn~ Shiinnn~ Slassshhh~ Shiinn~ Shinnn~
More of the apes arms were severed as Gor’thala served across the battlefield, slashing at the descended fists.
Meanwhile Aurethia was operating on an entirely different level.
She remained completely untouched as tbe floating eye creature unleashed dozens of energy beams.
Aurethia walked through them swinging her saber at such a speed that it was invisible to the naked eye.
Every of her swing, intercepted multiple attacks, splitting the beams apart harmlessly.
The three-headed hound charged with three mouths opened and streams of fire erupted from each of them.
Aurethia vanished and reappeared behind it.
Three silver flashes engulfed the vicinity and in the next instant, three heads rolled across the battlefield.
The hound collapsed completely dead.
The giant mantis attacked, swinging its blades at impossible speeds.
Aurethia met every strike casually.
Clang~
Clang~
Clang~
The exchange lasted barely three seconds before the mantis split into six separate pieces.
The steel construct lasted nearly ten seconds but Aurethia’s saber carved through it eventually causing it to exploded apart.
Iron Vultures summoners began sweating heavily.
Their creatures were being dismantled efficiently. They stood no chance against West summons and it made no sense to them. West was only Tier 1 after all, just like they were.
Through the relentless attacks, Shadow Reapers members supported from the flanks.
Jax froze opponents who tried interfering, Vanya’s shot out glowing rings to wounded enemies, taking them out completely.
Other members launched abilities from safe positions.
West didn’t let any member head to the front line. He wanted the summons to tank all the damage so all Shadow Reapers members remained untouched.
The battlefield grew bloodier, louder and more chaotic.
Entire sections of pavement no longer existed.
The battlefield had completely devolved into carnage.
The neat roads surrounding Shadow Reapers Headquarters no longer resembled roads.
Entire sections had been ripped apart, buildings bore massive cracks, Vehicles burned in twisted heaps of metal and bodies littered the streets.
The ground itself looked as though a natural disaster had struck repeatedly.
In the middle of all that destruction... Bloodstain was rampaging.
The Iron Vultures leader looked less like a human being and more like a force of nature.
His clothes were tattered as blood energy rolled off his body in thick waves.
The crimson aura surrounding him had grown so dense that nearby awakened instinctively avoided standing too close.
Wherever he went, something died.
Another Verdant Pyre Behemoth charged toward him but Bloodstain didn’t dodge.
He simply punched forward and a massive spike of hardened blood erupted from his fist.
The attack pierced straight through the Behemoth’s chest.
The creature roared as Bloodstain grabbed the protrusion with both hands before ripping through.
The summon split apart from the inside with chunks of flesh exploding everywhere.
The massive body collapsed in two separate pieces.
Bloodstain kept moving without even looking back.
The crystal-antlered wolf glowing claws suddenly descended toward his neck.
Shiikkkkkkk~
Just when it was a few inches away from making contact, Bloodstain’s twisted while forming a giant crimson blade instantly.
SLASH!
The wolf’s shoulder exploded and the beast was sent tumbling across the battlefield.
Several Iron Vultures members cheered seeing their leader push back.
He looked unstoppable, like a god of slaughter.
Every step left destruction behind... every attack created another casualty.
The battlefield parted before him as he kept his eyes on a single target.
"WEST EINSTEIN!"
His voice boomed across the battlefield causing several ongoing fights actually paused for a brief moment.
Bloodstain’s fury caused the surrounding to rumble. "I’m coming for you!"
The declaration echoed through the ruined streets as he charged again.
A giant tower-bearer swung its colossal weapon down toward him but Bloodstain leapt, causing the tower smashed into the ground beneath him.
He landed directly on the giant’s arm, ran across it and plunged his hand into its shoulder.
Blood-red spikes erupted outward causing the giant to convulse voilently as its entire upper body exploded apart.
The enormous summon crashed into the battlefield.
Bloodstain emerged from the wreckage covered in splinters and debris.
He continued advancing, still heading toward West, leaving a hurricane of destruction behind him.
Even some Iron Vultures members had started avoiding his path.
Nobody wanted to be caught between Bloodstain and his target.
Meanwhile... since the battle began, West remained exactly where he was with his hands casually inside his pockets, relaxed.
He almost looked bored as screams, eplosions and the collapsing of Gor’thala’s summons rang out around him.
None of it seemed to affect him.
He simply observed and waited, watching Bloodstain tear through everything, forcing his way closer to him.
West smiled genuinely like this had all been expected.
Nearby Shadow Reapers members noticed Bloodstain carving a path through the battlefield to West.
"Uhh..." Jax scratched his cheek. "Boss."
"Yeah?" West muttered.
"I think angry grandpa is heading this way."
"Looks that way."
Jax stared. "Should we maybe stop him?"
Several nearby members immediately agreed, especially the newer recruits. They were eager to show their capabilities.
After all, anyone could see Bloodstain was on a completely different level.
Even while dozens of battles were taking place around them, his presence stood out.
The man was a monster.
Vanya stepped forward with her eyes glowing as energy gathered around her.
"We should intercept him."
Several others nodded in agreement.
"He’ll reach us."
"Let’s help."
"Everyone attack together."
The newer members were nervous since Bloodstain had already destroyed multiple powerful summons but nobody wanted him reaching their gang leader.
West finally sighed before shaking his head. "No."
Everyone paused in place with looks of confusion on their faces.
Jax blinked. "No?"
There was no way West thought he was taking that monster out without help, right?
This was most of them thought process.
But to their utmost shock, West pointed toward the battlefield. "Don’t get in his path."
The group looked confused as they watched Bloodstain had destroy another powerful summon.
The distance between them continued shrinking.
"Boss..." one recruit swallowed nervously. "He’s literally coming straight for you."
West nodded. "I know."
Jax frowned. "You sure about this?"
West’s smile widened. "Very."
Bloodstain’s roar echoed again as he blasted apart another Verdant Pyre Behemoth, causing the battlefield to tremble.
The distance shrank further but West remained unconcerned. "Let him come."
The words were calm, yet hearing them somehow made everyone even more nervous.
Vanya frowned. "Are you planning something?"
West chuckled. "Always."
Jax groaned. "I hate when you say that."
West eyes remained fixed on Bloodstain who had finally broken through the densest portions of the battlefield.
He had gotten close enough that individual features could be seen clearly.
Cuts covered his body, his clothing hung in tatters and blood dripped from multiple wounds, yet somehow... he seemed stronger than when the battle began.
The Iron Vultures members morale rose.
"Boss is almost there!"
"Kill him!"
"Rip him apart!"
The chants spread rapidly while Shadow Reapers members tensed.
Bloodstain displayed a vicious smile because he could finally see West clearly standing calmly in the distance with nothing in between them... waiting.
Bloodstain’s blood aura erupted once more, shattering the ground beneath his feet as he accelerated.
The burst of speed startled everyone watching as he turned into a crimson blur tearing across the battlefield, sraight toward West.
Jax instinctively took a step forward but West raised his hand. With a sigh, he immediately stepped sideways.
For the first time since the battle began, West slowly removed his hands from his pockets because after tearing through an army... Bloodstain had finally reached him.
West turned slightly. "Jax."
Jax immediately looked over. "Yeah?"
"I need a private room."
Jax blinked. "A what?"
West pointed at Bloodstain. "A private room."
The moment understanding dawned, Jax’s eyes widened.
Of course, only three people knew, West was the blue demon, including himself. Not even the new recruits at Shadow Reapers knew.
West had worked too hard keeping that identity hidden and he wasn’t about to expose it now.
Jax immediately grinned. "Ohhh... I got you."
His branch activated causing the temperature surrounding the battlefield to instantly drop.
Frost spread across the ground as massive walls of ice erupted upward.
BOOOOOOOM!
Tall walls nearly sixty feet high rapidly enclosed the area.
The ice was thick and dense, almost in a crystal-like way.
Nobody outside could see inside or outside, it was completely closed off.
The Iron Vultures members immediately reacted.
"What the hell?"
"Why did they block it off?"
"I can’t see!"
