Chapter 310: Chapter 310: Monster Evolution [Part 2]
Boris, who had just emerged from its cocoon, looked very smug.
It felt stronger than ever and was fascinated by the wings that were now on its back.
After admiring itself for a while, the Drake Sovereign hurried to move toward the entrance of the cave so that it could show off its current form to Astravor.
The other Drakes also moved behind their leader, wanting to find their owners and surprise them with their new looks.
Although their outer appearances had changed, they were still loyal to their masters, who had cared for them when they were still Raptors.
The guards guarding the different parts of the underground tunnels almost panicked when a Drake Sovereign appeared behind their backs.
Boris was very impatient, so it simply grabbed the guards with its claws before setting them to the side of the pathway, leaving them in a shocked state.
When the monsters finally left the entrance of the cave, Boris opened its wings wide as it soon took off to the skies.
It then roared loudly, informing everyone that it had finally returned.
The Drake Sovereign then flew to the top of the mountain to find its rival. However, when it arrived at the peak, it found Astravor sleeping without a care in the world.
It seemed that Boris’ roar wasn’t enough to wake it up.
Though, due to its excitement, it didn’t care whether the Gryphon was indeed sleeping or was simply ignoring it.
Boris nudged Astravor’s head repeatedly, like a dog trying to get its owner’s attention.
After half a minute, Astravor finally had enough and reluctantly opened its eyes.
Seeing that the Gryphon was already awake, Boris roared happily. It then spread its wings wide before raising its chest proudly as if telling Astravor, "Look at me! Aren’t I awesome?"
The Gryphon looked at the smug-faced Boris for a few seconds before reaching out to pick a rock from the small pile by its side.
It then tossed it at the Drake Sovereign’s head afterward, as if telling it to shut up.
Boris blinked once, then twice, before roaring back in anger. It then used its tail to lash out at the Gryphon. However, Astravor had already anticipated this move.
Within moments, the Garuda Gryphon took off to the skies as Boris chased it from behind.
The Drake Sovereign even unleashed a breath attack, but its target evaded it with ease.
Down on the mountain, Vlad sipped on his hot cocoa while watching the dogfight in the sky.
Meanwhile, Wayne looked at the Drake Sovereign, as well as the Drakes that had emerged from the fortress.
He was seeing these monsters for the first time. However, he could tell that they were very strong and dangerous monsters.
Tianna, who was seated right beside Vlad, sighed in her heart.
She had already expected that Leone was waiting for the tribes to leave before doing something unexpected.
Though, as if to further prove that the surprises were just starting, a dozen Pteranodons took off to the skies not long after, exploring their new home.
Not everyone was comfortable flying in the sky, especially the unlucky handful who were afraid of heights.
Because of this, Leone planned to do a test run for those who were compatible to form the Aslan Tribe’s Aerial Battalion.
Leone wasn’t aware that at that exact moment, the two other cocoons that he had left in the Hidden Valley had also formed cracks.
Aria, who was about to come to find Leone, noticed that one of the cocoons had grown at least thrice its size from what she remembered yesterday.
Then it happened.
The large cocoon broke apart, and soon, a monster that made the young lady subconsciously take a few steps back made its appearance.
Before her, an incredibly large crocodile that was at least fifteen meters long raised its head and roared towards the sky.

The other monsters gathered at the river hurriedly retreated, intimidated by the aura emitted by the monster that had just appeared.
The Giant Crocodile that Leone had given Dragon Blood through Beast Synthesis had undergone a mutation, making it transform into a Rank 5 Monster!
The Dragonmaw Tyrant had dark scales that gleamed with a metallic luster, making it look as if it was wearing shiny black armor from a distance.
It was a beast that exuded danger, power, and viciousness that made those who saw it tremble inwardly.
Its golden eyes then locked onto the people in the surroundings, as if eyeing them to see if they were edible or not.
A hint of amusement appeared on its face after determining that there was no one in the surroundings that was its match... or at least that was what it thought for the first few minutes after it emerged from its cocoon.
Just as it was thinking of bossing the other monsters around, it came face to face with creatures that knew no fear.
"Wow! It’s big!"
"It looks scary!"
"Nice! This is nice!"
"Yay!"
"A new friend?"
"""Let’s play!"""
Dozens of children ran fearlessly towards the Dragonmaw Tyrant as if they had seen the biggest stuffed teddy bear in their lives.
The monster was so shocked that its body flinched the moment one of the children grabbed hold of its leg.
"I’m the King of the Mountain!" Runa shouted as she stood proudly on top of the monster like it was a normal thing to do.
Soon, kids began to cling to the monster’s tail, mouth, and neck, treating it as a giant playground instead of an apex monster that had just been born.
Yet, the funny thing was that it couldn’t do anything about it!
Yes. Even this ferocious monster couldn’t do anything against the children of the Aslan Tribe, all of whom had developed a very high tolerance when it came to playing with monsters.
The Dragonmaw Tyrant then looked at the adults and growled in their direction.
It was as if it was saying, "Oi! What are you guys looking at?! Get these little sh*ts away from my body!"
All the adults, including Aria, were too shocked to do anything and simply stared in disbelief at the scene happening right before their very eyes.
Then, as if choosing that moment to also make its appearance, the cocoon that was a few meters away from the Dragonmaw Tyrant also broke apart.
And from it emerged a creature that made all the children who were playing with their new toy stop whatever they were doing to look at their new friend.
It was a blue lizard with a very unique look. It was called Frillcrest Lizard.

— The Frillcrest Lizard unleashes the full potential of its dragon blood, dramatically increasing its Movement Speed and Reflexes by 400% for a period of time.
Every step leaves behind afterimages, making it extremely difficult for enemies to track its true position.
While Swift Runner is active, the Frillcrest Lizard’s attacks gain tremendous momentum, greatly increasing the power of its claws, tail strikes, and charging attacks.
——————
The Frillcrest Lizard opened its frills, making itself look more dangerous and intimidating than the Dragonmaw Crocodile.
Sadly, that was a mistake on its part.
Children were ignorant of its danger. Its attempt to intimidate only made the children immediately abandon their first plaything and run toward the Frillcrest Lizard.
Unfortunately for them, this lizard was also a very fast runner!
It didn’t hesitate to stand on its hind legs before sprinting towards the river as if its life depended on it. It ran across the water like it was simply running on land.
The children were flabbergasted to see that their new friend had run away before they could even play with it.
Even Aria and the adults had no words to say due to how fast the monster was escaping.
Perhaps among Leone’s vassals, only Blitz would be able to catch up to this weird monster that they were seeing for the very first time in their life.
For some reason, the Dragonmaw Tyrant felt lonely after the children abandoned it. Though this loneliness didn’t last long, as it soon snapped to its senses.
Before the children could even climb on its back once more, the behemoth also ran towards the river before diving down to its deepest part.
Leone was only informed a few minutes later that two weird monsters had appeared inside the Hidden Valley, which was the result of his Beast Synthesis Experiment.
