Chapter 306: Chapter 306: Evolution Begins
"Let’s meet again in Eden, Leone." Duncan took the young man’s hand and shook it. "I’m glad I met you."
"The same goes for me, Duncan." Leone smiled back. "You and your tribe will always be welcomed here in the Aslan Tribe."
"Is that so?" Duncan grinned. "By the way, since Malik opened up the topic about granddaughters, I’d just like to share that I also have one. Don’t worry, I’m nowhere as terrible as Malik. My granddaughter is not six years old. She’s already eleven. Her birthday is next month, so give her a few more years, and I’ll send her to you as a wife. What do you say?"
""Tsk!"" Oswald and Garen both clicked their tongues at the same time. Unfortunately, their families mostly had sons.
If they also had a daughter or granddaughter themselves, they would also act a bit more shameless and ask Leone to take them as his wives or concubines.
"L-Let’s talk about this again after a few more years," Leone replied. Since Duncan was still holding his hand in a handshake, he decided to play it safe for now.
Also, he didn’t want to embarrass him in front of the other chieftains.
After all, Malik only used his granddaughter as an excuse.
The actual agreement he had with Leone was for the young man to visit the Sandreaver Tribe and see if he could help them with their crisis.
Gundar patted Leone’s shoulder. "Until we meet again. Do your best to stay out of trouble."
"I’ll do that, Great Uncle," Leone promised.
"Why do I have a feeling that you won’t?"
"A-Ahahaha. How can that be?"
Leone had never looked for trouble. If anything, trouble seemed to have a bone to pick with him.
The great shaman then told Yuni and Aria to take care of Leone before following the other chieftains to their respective tribes.
The Aslan Tribe watched as their guests finally embarked on their journey to the Bonegnash Tribe.
Truth be told, Leone was very thankful to them.
Even the appearance of the Darkmane Tribe served to be a boon against the monster army, who had decided to target them first.
If it was only the Aslan and the Ravage Tribe that had to do all the fighting, Leone was certain that his mission would have failed.
Everyone fought with everything they had, allowing the Aslan Tribe to survive another calamity.
However, he also understood that the Tribal Gathering that would take place in two months was not just a simple reunion.
It would be a gathering that would decide the fate of the Borderlands.
The middle-ranked tribes, Troy and Jafar, warned him that Hagen and the Grimhowl Tribe were planning something big.
"Among all of us, Hagen’s ambition to become the Barbarian King of the Borderlands is the real deal," Troy admitted. "I have a feeling that he has been preparing for a very long time. So, with or without Gundar helping him, Hagen will make a move in Eden. With that said, for your own safety, don’t go there."
Troy had said the same thing as the other chieftains, who were also worried about Leone’s safety.
Don’t go to Eden.
The place the Barbarians held sacred.
According to their agreement, it was also the same place where the Barbarian King would be crowned.
Leone shifted his attention to his Status Page and the BP that he received as a reward.
[BP: 539,778]
The corner of his lips rose slightly. With the rewards he had received from completing his mission, he would be able to strengthen the Aslan Tribe in a short period of time.
As soon as the tribes were no longer in his sight, Leone ordered all the Raptors to enter the fortress so that their transformation could start.
Boris tried to cut in line, but Leone told it to wait patiently until all the Raptors had finished their evolution.
Due to the Beast Synthesis Recipe, Leone realized that, aside from the blood of the Bronze Dragon, he could also add a few drops from the Ogre Warlord.
This combination would not only make the Raptors evolve into Drakes, but the Ogre Warlord’s blood would also give them a stronger regeneration rate.
This meant that if the Raptors received any injuries, as long as it wasn’t fatal, then they would recover without fail.
But there was one downside. Once the Beast Synthesis was completed, they would need to rest for a day or two to stabilize their body’s condition.
Soon, all the Raptors were covered in a flesh-like cocoon, waiting for their evolution to complete.
Boris, whose turn had finally come, looked at Leone with excitement.
"Relax, Boris," Leone said before taking out the Beast Synthesis Recipe for the Drake Sovereign.
When the Raptors evolved, they would become Drakes, which specialized in land travel.
As for Boris, Leone planned to make it transform into a Drake Sovereign. This species of Drake was special because it had wings and could fly in the sky.
Drakes were a branch of the Dragon family. However, they were not full-blooded Dragons, making them weaker than true Dragons.
But even so, Leone was already happy with this improvement.
After all, the Raptors would drastically increase their strength and reach the peak of Rank 3, making them Pseudo-Rank 4 Monsters.
The other great part about using the Beast Synthesis to create Drakes was that it unlocked the "Drake Mount" in the Arcane Store.
These Drakes were Rank 3 Mounts, costing around 3,000 BP each.
They were very expensive, and frankly, Leone would rather buy Raptors for 500 BP and transform them into Drakes with the Bronze Dragon’s blood.
A few minutes later, Leone looked at the giant flesh cocoon in front of him.
Boris was now in the process of evolving into a Drake Sovereign, and the process would take at least a full day to complete.
Until they hatched from their cocoons, Leone planned to increase the number of guards, so he asked Ulric to personally supervise the transformation of their Drake Army.
Now that the Beast Synthesis side of things were finished, it was now time for Leone to use the other rewards he had received from completing the mission.
Since the war had ended, Leone decided to hold a victory feast to lift everyone’s spirits.
And during that feast, he would also summon the Wheel of Fortune, allowing everyone to have fun and momentarily forget the sadness and hardships that the war had left behind.
