Chapter 311: Chapter 311: Limit Reached

← Ch. 310 All Chapters Ch. 312

Bloodstain had turned West’s surrounding into a perfect kill zone.

The attacks closed in with West standing in the middle.

Everything suddenly slowed as West’s Voidfang Predator heightened senses activated fully.

His transformed eyes glowed brighter as his brain processed distances, angles, timing, velocity simultaneously.

Each attack trajectory and possible path was perfectly calculated as the world before him entered hyper focus.

He suddenly activated a skill.

<[ Radiant Acceleration Activated ]>

Golden light exploded from his body causing a sun-like glow to surround him.

Bloodstain’s eyes widened as West moved at a speed so ridiculous it looked like teleportation.

He swerved around the first spike, twisted around the second, ducked beneath a flying axe, stepped around a descending hammer and leapt between two blood blades.

Not a single attack managed to touch him.

Bloodstain struggled to follow his movement even with Tier Two perception.

West became a golden blur racing through the battlefield as he suddenly soared over Bloodstain’s head.

The veteran immediately spun around but he wasn’t fast enough.

West had landed behind him with his leg swinging out.

CRAAAAASH!

The kick connected from the side turning Bloodstain’s body into a projectile.

BOOOOM!

He smashed into one ice wall, ricocheted off and shot across the battlefield before crashing into the opposite wall.

BOOOOM!

He bounced across it again from one end to the other like a ball being thrown between giants.

The entire frozen enclosure shook violently as cracks spread across them.

West suddenly appeared before him while he was richocheting towards the next surface, grabbed his head and leapt.

The veteran barely had time to react before West drove him downward.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

The impact expanded the crater again causing the earth below to collapse.

Cracks spread everywhere as West landed on top of him with a grin on his monstrous face.

"Your protective gear has a limit doesn’t it?"

Bloodstain’s expression changed as he realized that West had figured it out.

That expensive awakened armor had been reducing the force behind every strike but the glow that would usually flicker anytime Bloodstain got hit had reduced by a whole lot.

Without waiting for his answer, West’s fists descended upon him.

BOOM!

A dimmer glow flickered as a loud booming sound reverberated across the surrounding but before it could even settle, another strike descended.

BOOM!

The glow appeared again but slightly dimmer as more strikes descended

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The barrage continued repeatedly, deepening the crater, causing the ground to shatter even more.

Every impact forced Bloodstain further downward and yet West hadn’t even given him any real damage.

But his repeated barrage was targeting the armor and Bloodstain realized it too late. Unfortunately, he couldn’t even bring it to a stop because every powerful strike, kept him down.

The glow continued appearing, weaker each them.

The armor was undoubtedly reaching its limit.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOOM!

BOOOOM!

The impacts continued until finally... the protective glow appeared one last time, barely visible before vanishing completely.

Bloodstain’s eyes widened as West’s next punch descended fiercely toward Bloodstain’s face.

BOOOOOOOOM!

The impact detonated across the enclosed battlefield.

The ground beneath them shattered further as cracks spread outward like a spiderweb across the crater floor.

Bloodstain’s head snapped violently to the side with blood bursting out of his ear, nose and mouth.

For the first time since the battle began, there was no flicker.

The awakened expensive armor absorbing the force had finally reached its limit.

The gang leader’s expression darkened as he gritted his teeth in pain.

West grinned. "There it is."

His glowing eyes narrowed. "You’ve been relying on that thing a lot."

Bloodstain spat blood to the side before smiling. "Good."

West frowned slightly. "Good?"

Bloodstain suddenly slapped both hands onto the ground and nlood-red spikes exploded upward from every direction.

West instantly leapt backward as several spikes narrowly missed him.

Others punched through the space where he had been standing a split second earlier.

Bloodstain rose from the crater with his clothing was in terrible condition.

His face was bruised, cuts covered parts of his body, yet the pressure radiating from him had somehow become even more dangerous.

The entire enclosed battlefield began trembling.

The blood scattered across the battlefield, outside of the ice enclosure started moving.

Tiny droplets, crimson stains and even areas with patches of blood from fallen comrades... every trace of blood drifted toward Bloodstain.

BOOM!

It blasted through a section of the ice wall, burrowing through to reach him.

However, the ice wall was closed back instantly by Jax on the outside, preventing anyone from managing to get an inside view.

Bloodstain spread his arms and the floating blood gathered around him before condensing into over thirty large scythes.

Dozens of crimson weapons floated behind him, resembleing an arsenal, like a floating execution ground.

West whistled. "Trying to compensate for losing your armor?"

Bloodstain laughed. "You talk too much."

The moment every weapon was launched simultaneously, West’s heightened senses immediately kicked in.

The world slowed as he tracked the incoming attacks.

Fwwwhooommmm~

West twisted, evading a blade before ducking to avoiding spear passed overhead.

A hammer-shaped construct shattered the ground beside him as he suddenly swerved sideways.

Over twenty more attacks were still incoming, approaching from every angle.

Unfortunately, even though his perception was absurd, Radiant Acceleration was still under cooldown so avoiding them all with his normal speed was going to be an insurmountable challenge.

Swwwhiihhh~ Fwwhwiii~ Swerveee~ Sweerrvee~

While he was in the process of evading, Bloodstain suddenly appeared while sweeping the massive blood scythe in his grasp horizontally.

West immediately crossed both arms but the collision launched him backward.

BOOOOOOM!

His feet tore trenches through the ground before he stabilized himself but a large bleeding gash had appeared across his arms.

Bloodstain immediately followed up with no intention of allowing breathing room.

West rushed forward as Bloodstain swung again, ducking beneath the attack.

A punch shot toward Bloodstain’s ribs but the gang leader blocked with the scythe, sliding backward immediately after impact was made.

The ground cracked beneath his feet as West followed with a succession of strikes, swinging his fist multiple times.

Each strike landed with explosive force but Bloodstain defended most of them, except for the last two which struck his chest and face, sending him crashing backwards.

Bloodstain flipped once across the air and then suddenly landed with a powerful stomp.

The ground beneath West exploded as a massive blood spike erupted upward.

West jumped away but another spike followed and soon the battlefield transformed into a deadly maze.

Bloodstain used the opportunity to make his floating arsenal attack again.

West found himself weaving between blood weapons and spikes simultaneously.

Any Tier 1 would have been long skewered but West’s agility was off the charts.

"Stop moving!" Bloodstain exploded, charging forward again while unleashing overwhelming power.

A giant blood scythe expanded, growing larger until it exceeded twenty feet.

He proceeded to swing and the entire battlefield split.

Thrrriiiiiiihhhhhh!

A crimson crescent tore across the enclosure causing West’s eyes to widen slightly.

<[ Radiant Acceleration Activated ]>

Golden light exploded around him as he swerved towards the left as fast as he could, causing the crimson crescent to miss him by inches.

BOOOOOOOOM!

It struck the ice wall instead, instantly obliterating a portion of it.

However, even though West had evaded the attack, the residual force from the attack still sent him flying, crashing into the other side of the ice wall.

Outside the enclosure, both gangs jumped as the pressure from the clash leaked through.

"What the hell are they doing in there?" One Shadow Reapers recruit asked nervously.

Jax simply folded his arms while unleashing a fresh ice wall to cover the hole. "No clue."

Meanwhile, Bloodstain appeared before West who had blasted into the east ice wall and sent a fist towards his belly.

BOOM!

It sounded as though a bomb had detonated as he continued to repeatedly swing his fist.

BOOM! BAM! BAM! BOOM!

West who was on the receiving end of these repeated barrage suddenly opened his mouth wide.

Bloodstain felt the hair on his body rise as his senses alerted him of danger but he wasn’t fast enough.

A blueish white beam suddenly shot out of West’s mouth, slamming into Bloodstain and sending him flying.

Bloodstain crashed into the ground and rolled repeatedly, forming a deep trench as blood gushed out of a massive burn mark on his chest.

West suddenly reappeared above Bloodstain before he could recover with a descending kick.

Bloodstain crossed his arms to block but the collision still drove him into the ground.

Before he could blink, a punch was already headed for his face.

BOOM!

Bloodstain saw stars as the punch landed and before he could even process it, another slammed into his chest and the next onto his jaw.

A barrage of fists rained down upon him, barely giving him the chance to evade or block.

Before Bloodstain knew it, there were bloodstains all over his tattered clothing... and these bloodstains, didn’t belong to his enemy... they belonged to him.

The absence of his armor became painfully obvious.

West’s attacks were like the force of a moving mountain.
