"You... what did you do?" The creature’s stuttering voice reached my ears and my grin only widened.

"Me? Oh, I haven’t done anything.." my fist slowly clenched..

The world exploded as I let my fist loose.

The creature didn’t even leave a corpse.

It simply... vanished.

But that was hardly the end of it.

GUOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

A horrible wail erupted from the mountain as the shockwaves from the blow blasted it far enough to become nothing but a dot in the distance that disappeared soon afterwards.

I looked at my fist. Dumbfounded once more.

"That...." That was supposed to be a love tap. A simple punch. No extra fluff. But...

I raised my head. Looking at the evicirated landscape before me. The earth had been overturned completely.

It didn’t look anything like something a simple punch should do.

I couldn’t even begin to imagine how far the damage spread.

"Alright... let’s see just what the hell is going on." Was what I intended to do. To finally understand just what was happening. I had lost my test subject before it could even do its job, so I might as well rely on my old faithful system.

Yet. The world seemed hell bent on not allowing it, as..

"You... you’re an interesting outsider." An indifferent voice sounded right beside me.

"Haaa.... I swear to god. If I get my hands on whoever keeps sending these distractions..." I raised my head, irritation clear as I locked eyes with the speaker.

Silver white hair.

Slitted pupils.

Tall and elegant.

Dressed in an obsidian robe.

It looked like a more sophisticated version of the test subject I’d just sent to kingdom come.

"Let me guess. You’re the young master, huh?" My voice came out plain.

"You’re funny outsider. You stand before Saren’Kul Abarith.Third prince of the Veyr empire. Son of Kolen’kul Abarith, The Unkillable. Yet you neither bow nor show reverence."

"Not even heaven and earth are worthy of receiving a bow from me, you fucker. So stop posturing and get on with it." I waved him off. Eager to get this over with.

"A curious one you are, indeed. I should have your head for daring to attack my retainer and Kalthor. But first, I need you to answer a few questions."

I wasn’t interested in any more conversations.

"What happened here?"

"I had just captured kalthor and was on my way to clearing my riftstrider tests, before feeling the turbulent fluctuations of laws within this general vicinity. Tell me what happened here and I might consider letting you serve as my new retainer."

"Outsider. Did you hear me?"

"Why?" My weary voice replied.

"Hmm?"

"Why do you guys talk so goddamn much? Bitch! I’m just trying to understand what the fuck is going on! So why the fuck are you bothering me? Do you want to die that badly?"

"I see. So that’s your choice. What a shame. But, I guess I can just find out what happened here myself. Kalthor."

GUOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

A horrifying roar came from above as a foot the size of the Eiffel Tower descended upon me.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!

The earth shattered and collapsed as the foot made contact.

"I guess that’s...."

GUOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!!!

The pain filled roar of the massive creature shut the gloating creature up as its eyes hardened.

The dust slowly cleared as the aftermath of attack became clear.

Buried within a deep crater, my figure stood unshaken. The massive foot having been obliterated down to the bone.

GUOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!!

The monster bellowed in pain and rage. Another foot descending from the skies.

"Not this time..." I bent my knees. And then.

BOOOOOM!!!

I was airborn.

This time, the trajectory was perfect. I smiled. Clear appreciation for Chaotic Adaptation working in the background.

I ascended rapidly as finally I arrived at the face of the mountain.

"You plagiarizing motherfucker...." I couldn’t help cursing the moment I laid eyes on the creature.

A broad and powerful muzzle. Large forward facing eyes. Heavy brow ridges. A wide flattened nose similar to that of a big cat with wide nostrils. Long whiskers moving gently like those of an eastern dragon. Beard like tendrils hanging from its chin. Large curved horns sweeping backward from its head like those of a dragon. Thick weathered scales covering its cheeks, neck and forehead. And an exceptionally massive jawline.

It looked infinitely younger than what I knew of from the past, but there was no doubt about it.

"That’s a Motherfucking lion turtle.."

Echo-Echo wasn’t enough. This bastard had to pull another one?

"Fuck that! You aren’t fooling anyone!"

I raged.

Now, I would’ve loved to use my newfound Laws of fire, earth, air, and water. Let’s complete this whole shindig. But, I was already having trouble understanding my own body. I wasn’t about to touch these laws when I could already feel how much more powerful and uncontrollable they were, so...

"Sorry big guy.. but I’ll need you to sleep for like... ever.." I clenched my fist hard and then...

My fist ripped the very fabric of space apart as it collided with the face of the impossibly large creature.

CRAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK!!!!!

A deafening crack echoed through the world as the massive shell on the back of the creature shattered into dust.

GUOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH...

Its pain filled roar was cut short as its body soon followed suit.

Bloating up from the point of impact. The creature detonated in a massive explosion that made the place feel like the world was coming to an end.

Fissures spread for an uncountable number of miles as the earth collapsed inward.

"Damn..." the sudden absence of the massive creature suddenly made it feel like the world had suddenly become empty.

My eyes widened as I took in the scale of what had just happened.

Everywhere I looked. Carnage..

It felt like the exact aftermath of what had happened when I used Heaven Rend back on terra, but this had been done by a simple punch.

"...."

Once again. The surreal feeling of freedom hit me harder than I expected.

"KALTHORRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! OUTSIDERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!" A furious roar filled with killing intent exploded outwards from the distant earth. I looked down. The earth had become a blur. That was how high I’d jumped just to see the face of the creature.

Yet, I could still feel the murderous aura approaching me.

"Heh! Let’s see if you can take a punch." It suddenly felt like I was back at the academy trials. Looking for something that could survive a single punch.

My figure tore through the sky as I descended toward the approaching figure.

"OUTSIDERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!"

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

The sky cracked and fissured as our fists connected mid air.

RIIIIIPPPPPPPPPP..... the jarring sounds of flesh tearing apart the sounded out as the arm of the creature exploded into meat paste.

Half his body followed immediately.

Yet before the damage could reach its head, it separated from the rest of the collapsing body.

The head forming a new body as the creature launched another surprise attack.

I saw it. Slower than a snail. Yet...

THUD!!

I barely moved as I let the punch connect.

GRAB.

I held the arm of the creature tightly as I pulled...

RIPPPPP!!!! The force tore the creature in two. Its organs spilling out in gory fashion.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! A pain filled roared echoed through the skies before the creature detached its head once more.

Reforming a new body. It turned and disappeared.

"Heh! Hoping to get away? Think again."

Space folded with nothing but a thought as distance stopped being a thing between me and the creature.

My body appeared miles away, right in front of the departing creature.

"Ho.. how??"

"Come now. Young master. Don’t disappoint me." My grin widened as I let loose another punch, this one more tame. Yet still...

BOOOOOOOOOOMM!!!

Its body exploded into gory mist. The head detaching just in time.

I could feel Chaotic Adaptation working overtime.

"Almost there.." I could feel it. One more tweak and I’d regain full motor control. Then, I can go back to checking just what exactly was going on.

Taking another step. Space folded as I appeared right before the fleeing creature.

"It’s getting better." My control over space was slowly returning. That and MUCH more.

"But first..." let’s finish what we started.

"Stopppp!!!!" My fist stopped right in front of the terrified creature.

"Outsider. You don’t want to do this. Let me leave and I’ll never bother you again!" It pleaded.

"And why don’t I want to do this?"

"If you kill me. My father will surely find you. He’s not someone you wish to antagonize. Let me leave and I promise not to cross your path again." Was what it said. Yet the murderous look that flashed past its eyes already sealed its fate. Not like there was any other fate to begin with.

"Is that so? Then feel free to tell him, I DONT CARE..."

"Oh wait. You can’t." I grinned and then..

"NOOOOOOO!!!!!

Splat!!!

Its head exploded into blood mist as my fist connected cleanly.

[Body synchronization complete..]

"Ahh... there it is.." I held the headless corpse in my hand as I closed my eyes. The feeling of finally getting my body in control being something words alone couldn’t explain.

"Alright then.. since there are no more distractions. Time to see just what the hell I got my hands on this time." Looking at the headless corpse in my hands, I put away the thoughts of devouring it for later as now.. I had bigger things to figure out.

"Now.. let’s get this shit started, shall we?"
