Harry thought for a moment, then said, "I mean, have you ever thought about adding some offensive effects to your magical items?"

"Offensive effects?" the twins asked, puzzled.

"It’s like..." Harry tried to describe the feeling, "like a grenade—you know, that’s a Muggle weapon, and when you throw it, it can cause a big explosion... If you could create such a magical item, perhaps besides causing mischief, there might be other uses, right?"

The twins thought for a moment, shook their heads, and said, "Sorry, Harry, our original intention is to add some humor to everyone’s tense lives, developing weapons is not within our consideration."

But they didn’t completely shut down the idea.

"Of course." Fred said again, "Maybe one day we might change our minds, who knows, Harry?"

"Oh, of course." Harry didn’t think much of it, he was just suggesting an immature idea.

"By the way." He continued, "Actually, you shouldn’t just limit yourself to one corner of Britain, right? The Magic World doesn’t only have the United Kingdom, perhaps you could expand to other countries, like France, Germany, etc."

"That’s indeed a fair suggestion, but the two of us are short-handed." Fred regretfully spread his arms, "Perhaps we might find some help in the future, who knows, but right now, we clearly can’t afford it."

The twins left, they went outside to sell their newly developed Extendable Ears.

The next morning, the weather was as grey as the previous day, with continuous drizzle.

In the common room, the Weasley twins were arguing passionately, seemingly discussing various uses of magical pranks.

In George’s opinion, Extendable Ears are not as good as Instant Escape Candy, because Instant Escape Candy helps everyone feign illness, while Extendable Ears are just fun—Fred believed that the most enticing aspect of magical pranks is that they’re fun, and one shouldn’t overlook their level of amusement due to excessive pursuit of efficacy.

In the end, Fred successfully persuaded George.

In the Great Hall, Harry received many greetings, especially from the fourth-year students.

"Harry, I mean, can you also teach us magic spells?" Colin Creevey quickly asked while holding his camera, "I really can’t imagine how boring Umbridge’s class can be, that it makes students unanimously oppose her continuing to teach."

"I’m afraid that’s not up to us, Colin." Harry said while yawning, "If possible, I’d be willing to teach you—but not now."

"Okay." Colin nodded somewhat dejectedly, then quickly raised his camera to capture a precious image of Harry eating a sandwich.

It really was an image, as photos in the Magic World are dynamic GIFs rather than static JPGs.

But speaking of it, those congratulating Harry were just seeking novelty, after a discussion, no one paid much attention to it.

After all, there’s a lot of homework, it’s unclear what got into the professors this term, but they assigned much more homework than in previous years.

Initially, Harry thought this was because homework was set to cope with the O.W.Ls exams, but after inquiring with students from other years, he found that all years are equally treated, including the first years who just started.

The newly enrolled Abekrombi sighed while pulling his hair as he wrote his essay.

After breakfast, it was class time, today’s morning classes included two spell classes followed by two transformation classes.

Before officially starting their class, both Professor Flitwick and Professor McGonagall spent fifteen minutes emphasizing the importance of the O.W.Ls exams to the whole class.

"You must remember," the short Professor Flitwick said sharply, as usual standing on a pile of books so he can see the whole class from the podium, "These exams could affect your future for many years! If you haven’t seriously considered your careers yet, now is the time to think carefully. Meanwhile, to ensure you all perform to your level, I’m afraid we have to work harder than ever!"

Then, they spent more than an hour reviewing the Summoning Charm, which Professor Flitwick said will definitely be part of the O.W.Ls exam content.

Before the class ended, he unprecedentedly assigned a large amount of magic spells as homework.

The situation in the transformation class wasn’t much better, if not worse.

"Without diligent study, practice, application," Professor McGonagall said seriously, "You cannot pass the O.W.Ls exam. I believe if time and effort are invested, every student in this class has no reason not to obtain a passing O.W.Ls certificate in transformation class."

Neville sighed in disbelief.

"That’s right, you too, Longbottom." Professor McGonagall said, "Your operations contain no errors, you just lack confidence. Therefore—today we will begin learning the Disappearing Spell. The Disappearing Spell is somewhat simpler than the Summoning Spell you would generally practice at N.E.W.Ts level, but it is still one of the most difficult spells that will appear in your O.W.Ls exams."

She was quite right, as everyone found the Disappearing Spell extremely difficult.

By the end of the two classes, the vast majority of students were unable to make their practice snails disappear, though Ron optimistically said that he thought the color of his snail had lightened a bit.
