The classroom was silent, no one wanted to support Umbridge at this moment—of course, no one would be that foolish.

"Dumbledore!" Umbridge was angry, "You’re playing along with them, aren’t you?"

"Oh, this isn’t playing around." Dumbledore smiled meaningfully.

"You’re just the headmaster! You don’t have the authority to dismiss me beyond the school board!" Umbridge shouted angrily.

"Aha."

A sweet voice sounded from behind Dumbledore, it was Pabi.

"Madam," Pabi said with a grin, "as a member of the school board, I certainly have the right to temporarily relieve you of your teaching duties for the fifth-grade students, along with Principal Dumbledore—here’s my certificate of authorization from the school board, would you like to have a look?"

With that, she pulled a piece of paper from her pocket.

Umbridge took the paper, her face ashen, of course she knew who Pabi Swedding was, Newt Scamander’s aunt... not exactly a secret.

Offending someone like Dumbledore was one thing, it was her purpose after all.

But offending Dumbledore and at the same time offending the Scamander family, who had good relationships in the Magic World, was not a wise move.

After all, Newt’s brother Theseus was once a senior official in the Ministry of Magic, many people there had been favored by Theseus to some extent.

"Then." Dumbledore said again, "Who do you think could be your professor?"

"Harry Potter!" Draco shouted loudly.

The students quickly caught on, shouting Harry’s name in unison.

Harry sighed.

Sigh.

"Since it’s the students’ request, Harry," Dumbledore winked at Harry, "you shall temporarily take over the five-year Defense Against the Dark Arts class."

"Professor, I..." Harry wanted to refuse; he really didn’t know how to teach students.

"Don’t decline, Harry," Dumbledore said with a hearty laugh, "It’s the students’ request, do you want to let them down?"

Harry took a deep breath.

"If this is the only way to benefit the school..." Harry said, "then I am willing to temporarily become the professor for the fifth-year Defense Against the Dark Arts class!"

"Hooray!" Pabi raised her small fist and shouted loudly.

The students also began to cheer along.

At that moment, the bell for the end of class rang.

"Alright," Dumbledore said happily, "now it’s time for class dismissal—next class, I hope you prepare your teaching content well, and don’t disappoint the students’ expectations, okay?"

"Of course," Harry nodded seriously.

After the professors left, the students cheered exuberantly.

"Finally got rid of that pink toad!" Ron shouted, "Merlin knows how much I hated it! Seeing it makes me feel sick to my core!"

"It’s alright, Ron," Hermione patted Ron’s shoulder, "you’re not alone, okay?"

For Harry, it wasn’t an entirely pleasant experience; by dinner time in the great hall that evening, the news that he was the first student to become a professor in Hogwarts’ history had spread quickly.

Colin Creevey, with a camera in hand, came up to Harry, insisting on taking a photo with him.

If it weren’t for Ron using his Class Prefect authority to help Harry out, who knows how long Colin would have gone on.

Of course, the main credit for spreading the news went to the ghosts.

Especially Sir Nicholas, who cheerfully announced everywhere that Harry had become the youngest Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, undoubtedly aiding in spreading the word.

"Mimbulus Mimbletonia," Harry exchanged the password with the Lady Pang when he returned to the doorway.

The Lady Pang stepped aside to let him in, and Harry saw the Gemini handing out pamphlets.

"Hey, Harry!"

Seeing Harry, the two gathered around him.

"Our new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor," Fred said.

George added, "Only for the fifth year—I wonder why you don’t plan on teaching the seventh year, really, I mean—I’ve experienced how boring Professor Umbridge’s classes are, just like being in prison—I dare say even Azkaban isn’t as torturous as her classes."

"Enough about me," Harry sat down with a rather grand posture, "what about you two? Not planning on taking N.E.W.Ts? Looks like you’re always pondering your magical tricks."

"Look at that, a natural-born professor!" Fred said, patting his chest, "You’re not even officially on the job, and already telling us off like a professor!"

"Who wouldn’t agree!" George laughed alongside.

"Alright, alright," Fred nudged George and said to Harry, "I know you’re being thoughtful, but we feel our future lies outside academic achievements."

"What’s that supposed to mean?" Harry raised an eyebrow.

"We’ve seriously discussed whether we should return for the seventh year," George said, excitement lighting his face, "Since we’ve already—"

He caught Harry’s warning glance and quickly halted his words.

Harry knew George was about to mention the funds they’d won at the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament.

That was not something to be discussed in the common room, especially with a few first-years around.

Imagine if it led the kids astray.

"—Since we now have our O.W.Ls certificates," George quickly corrected, "I mean, do we really need N.E.W.Ts certificates? But we’re sure Mom wouldn’t let us leave school early, with Percy now acting like the world’s biggest fool, Mom would be even less likely to agree."

"But we won’t waste our last year here," Fred said, nostalgically looking around the great hall, "we’ll use this year to do market research, to find out what ordinary Hogwarts students want to buy from a joke shop, to seriously evaluate our findings, and then produce products to meet those needs."

"Looks like you really are making money," Hermione said, holding a book as she sat down next to them, "Do you have any plans for your next goal? Like the location of your shop?"

"In Diagon Alley!" Fred and George said with bright smiles, "We’ve already scouted a location with great traffic and reasonable rent, if everyone loves our products, the rent won’t be a problem."

"Aren’t you afraid of Mom?" Ron asked, shocked.

"Everyone has their own way of living, Ronnie," Fred shook his head, "Mom can’t control us forever—and besides, if we can make money, I’m sure Mom won’t be unhappy; after all, not everyone in the family can go out into the world like a regular person, opening a shop is a decent choice, isn’t it?"

"I support you two," Harry said with a cheerful grin, "At least at Hogwarts, your products are quite popular, and I think outside of school, it would be the same."

"That’s great," Fred said with a cheerful grin, "Alright, it’s getting late, we need to go promote our new product—I hope we can sell a few Extendable Ears before bed..."

"You guys... um, wait a minute," Harry suddenly said, "I actually have an idea, not sure if it’s suitable, mind if I share?"

"Of course, Harry," said the twins who were already standing up, sitting back down, "we’d love to hear the new professor’s opinion."
