Chapter 793: Chapter 793 - 316: Hermione: You Really Are Hopeless
After a long while, Ron finally returned to the dormitory, exhausted as if he had burnt out completely.
"How are you, buddy?" Seamus asked with concern.
"I’m okay." Ron replied, feeling a bit overwhelmed, "Oh my gosh, I’m starting to regret becoming a Class Prefect—it’s really tiring."
"Is that so?" Seamus said in disbelief, "How about you resign as prefect and let me do it?"
Ron cleared his throat, "But on the other hand, serving the Gryffindors is my lifelong pursuit..."
"Tch!"
Everyone in the dorm raised their middle finger at Ron.
"By the way." Neville suddenly asked, "Have you guys seen the latest newspaper? The Ministry of Magic is claiming once again that You-Know-Who’s return is nonsense..."
"Sigh." Seamus also sighed, "My mom initially believed the Ministry’s nonsense too, but after Harry showed us the memory of Voldemort’s return, she decided to believe me—I bet many wizards choose to believe the Ministry because... you know, it’s official, and official statements mean everything."
"But I’d rather believe a pig can climb a tree than any of the Ministry’s nonsense." Ron muttered, having a strong dislike for the Ministry officials, since, growing up in his household...
"Why?" Seamus asked, puzzled, "Isn’t your dad also part of the Ministry of Magic?"
"But my dad doesn’t go along with them, Seamus." Ron said, chewing gum, "You know that my dad has never gotten along well with Fudge."
"Ah, the adult world..." Seamus remarked thoughtfully.
"Time for bed." Ron said, taking off his shoes and socks and getting into bed, "Today has been tiring enough, I think we should get some rest, we have new classes tomorrow, right?"
"You’re right, Ron." Neville agreed.
The next morning, they got up early.
Ron left the dorm first, because he was a prefect, and he had responsibilities to fulfill.
At least there were the new students waiting for his guidance.
By the time Harry got up, the dormitory was empty.
Upon reaching the common room, Harry saw Hermione and Ron talking with Abekrombi.
"Hi, Harry." Hermione greeted, raising a hand, "Why did you get up so late?"
"A bit tired." Harry yawned, saying he had been exercising his spiritual power last night, trying to expand his spiritual world.
Just then, the Weasley Twins walked over, laughing, and posted a large notice on the bulletin board.
The students gathered around, laughing, but the Weasley Twins quickly slipped away after posting the notice.
"Oh my gosh." Hermione rolled her eyes, saying, "These two replicas really know how to find things to do—especially giving us things to do..."
Harry looked over and saw it saying: "Loads of Galleons! Is your pocket money not enough to cover your expenses? Want to earn a bit more gold? Please contact Fred and George Weasley in the Gryffindor Common Room for a simple, nearly painless extracurricular temp job."
There was a small line below.
"(Apologies, all positions are at the job seeker’s own risk.)"
"The two of them are really too much." Hermione went up, wanting to tear the notice down.
"Forget it, Hermione." Harry said, "I think letting them do a bit of small business is not entirely a bad idea, at least it’ll stop them from losing points for the house, isn’t it?"
"Oh, you really..." Hermione frowned, thought about it, and sighed.
"Maybe you’re right, Harry." Hermione sighed, "Let them recruit within Gryffindor then, at least they won’t do things to lose points for Gryffindor—Malfoy and Pansy became Slytherin prefects, and I think they’ll certainly try every means to make Gryffindor lose points, right?"
"Indeed." Ron nodded in agreement.
"But..." Hermione thought for a moment and then said, "I think it’s necessary for you to restrain those two, since they’re your brothers, Ron—promise me, don’t let them lose any more points for Gryffindor, okay?"
"No problem, Hermione, no problem at all." Ron nodded eagerly, not considering it at all a difficult task.
In fact, stopping his two brothers was not an easy matter.
Just then, Angelina came over from a distance.
Her high ponytail made her look vibrant, cheerful, and healthy.
"How was the summer?" Angelina asked with a smile.
"Pretty good, quite fulfilling." Harry replied.
"Fred and George have already told me about your summer adventures, it was really quite an adventure." Angelina said with a grin.
"Yes." Harry responded, "Oh by the way, Angelina, I haven’t congratulated you on becoming the captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch Team."
"Haha." Angelina laughed heartily, "I’m here for that—and one more thing, Oliver has left, we need a new goalkeeper. The tryouts will be held on Friday at 5 PM, I hope all team members can be present, okay? That way we can see if the newcomer can coordinate well with the team."
"Of course, no problem." Harry said.
At that moment, Harry suddenly remembered his good buddy Ron was quite the Quidditch enthusiast too.
