Staring at the two thousand Horn Lizard soldiers who were back on their feet as if ready to launch an assault.

The previous relief on their faces vanished, and thick tension gripped their hearts.

Every guard subconsciously tightened his grip on his weapon as beads of cold sweat slowly formed on their foreheads.

The Scorpion Guard Captain’s eyes were bloodshot as he patrolled the wall for maximum security..

For years, this was the first time he had been pushed to such a limit.

The burden resting upon his shoulders had never felt this overwhelming before.

Working as a city wall guard had always been a leisurely job that many wished to join.

Since the Scorpion Clan dominated the Bleeding Desert, no enemy had ever dared march directly to their gates.

To him, he had been the subject of much envy while he basked in the glory of his position.

Everywhere he went, ordinary Scorpion Men treated him with respect because of the authority his position carried.

For many to work as a wall security guard, they had to show him respect and offer him many treasures.

To him, his job was a fortune that filled him with pride.

But now, he did not think so.

He wished to resign from his post and return home, away from the heavy-laden atmosphere.

For the first time, the authority and prestige he once cherished had become an unbearable burden.

Unfortunately, he did not have such liberty any longer.

With their clan at war, anyone who left their post would immediately be branded a deserter.

And he did not need to be told the fate that awaited such people.

Taking a deep breath, he shook his head, trying to get rid of the uneasiness in his heart.

While the Scorpion Guard Captain was staring at both the Horn Lizard soldiers and the Crimson Arc Guild.

She could not mask her impatience any longer. Her fingers repeatedly tightened around the handle of her massive battle axe, eager to throw herself into battle.
