Chaos strength?

There was a lack of disorderly chaos dao within it, wasn’t there? And... did the future person’s dao... seem to be alive? It could utilize a breathing method on its own.

Breathing method?

Li Hao raised a brow. Utilizing a breathing method on its own... supernatural characters...

He once had supernatural characters devour dao on their own when he was still in Silver Moon. They’d taken tangible form and cultivated by themselves, practicing different methods and purifying dao strength.

However, they hadn’t been able to purify chaos energy to this level. Countless thoughts flooded Li Hao’s mind.

Life!

The young man understood. He hadn’t come into much contact with the man’s power last time. The other’s blow had only hit Drifting Life and did not touch Li Hao. At the moment, the two were actively trading blows through the void.

Things sharpened into focus for Li Hao. He looked across the way and gained new understanding. I think... I get it. I get why the future is such pure, unadulterated strength of order like this.

The great dao has been imbued with some life in the future!

Indeed, life.

It could purify itself!

The young man had been unable to peer into the source of life. He’d been puzzled by how to bequeath life to a world and have it give birth to more living beings. Li Hao hadn’t been able to come to an answer or understand why.

The curtain was lifted somewhat today.

The great dao was this pure... because it was a type of life in the future!

Did that mean it could cultivate by itself and become... a living being?

Li Hao’s jaw dropped.

The great dao was the great dao, how could it be alive?? How was this possible?? This was the equivalent of the stars within the dao universe being able to function autonomously as living beings!

Li Hao’s mind was in turmoil as something else came to mind.

Ash Cat!

What was the Ash Emperor? Was it the replica of dao? It was born of a dao universe, but life did not exist within a dao universe. Why had the cat come to be?

The dao of the future also seemed to contain a unique strength of life, filling dao with a kind of spirit. This was a spirit that could expel impurities on its own. That naturally gave rise to more order.

If the Ash Emperor was such an existence... did that mean that order had always existed?

War!

The War Sovereign came to mind. Was the Ash Emperor related to the War Sovereign? If that was the case, didn’t that mean that the War Sovereign had discovered traces of ordered strength? And such power was born in the river of the future because the river itself possessed the genes of order?

Was life the key to order?

......

Across the way.

The young cultivator frowned slightly when he came in contact with Li Hao’s dao. It was so messy!

Although there were many types of great dao within the strength and they were very powerful... It gave one the feeling of being incredibly dirty.

Why was this the case?

The young man sank into deep thought. Was power so disordered in the past worlds and chaos? The strength of great dao and order should be extremely pure. Or was it the presence of time that changed the kind of power that both sides were experiencing?

Various thoughts came to the fore.

He suddenly looked down the river again. The two sides could communicate with each other, but each instance consumed a great deal of resources.

Hence, Li Hao didn’t say anything to the other. He simply summoned the power of a thousand worlds when he raised his sword. The river shook when he swung it!

Supernatural characters appeared within that blow.

The young man watched and silently took stock of what was occurring. Were those supernatural characters of an early age?

Did supernatural characters already exist in this era?

What were supernatural characters?

They were dao!

Supernatural characters were the replicas of dao and a simple form of the great dao. The ultimate peak of a supernatural character was an avenue of great dao. It started from tracing the character, then ultimately developing a spirit within it that incorporated dao to become it. That was how dao rules were grasped and what was meant by supernatural characters.

But didn’t they come to being during the age of King Wen? He was the one to simplify and codify them.

New revelations swarmed the future youngster’s thoughts. So... supernatural characters existed long ago?

He found something off about them when he focused for a look. These supernatural characters... were too stilted... jumbled up... and too inflexible!

Indeed, the youngster was finding differences between these supernatural characters and the ones he knew. Supernatural characters were a simplification of the rules. They possessed their own spirit. Supernatural characters could even think for themselves and become living beings. At the ultimate peak of their cultivation, they could even give birth to their own spirit!

If a powerhouse’s spirit integrated dao rules within themselves, they could even become the spirit of the dao rules and the dao rules themselves...

But if the person in front of him was the master of time, then these characters were far too dull and inert. There wasn’t the slightest hint of a spirit to them. They were just a form of dao.

The youngster was beginning to understand why the master of time had hassled him again. Had the master of time encountered a bottleneck in his cultivation?

Is he being chased by strong foes and can’t hold on any longer?

The youngster’s greatest skill was filling in the gaps. Ahem, deduction. There was no need for them to convene. He just needed to observe what the other was doing and base his own conclusions off of their current situation.

His guesses were often very accurate.

Has he come to me because... he wants to understand more about how ordered force works? But I don’t understand it either. It existed when I was born. They just naturally exist in the world!

But as soon as the thought arose, the youngster immediately grasped that the key might lie with the supernatural characters. There was no spirit in the other’s characters.

How did one bestow that upon the great dao?

He didn’t know how the initial spirits came to be, but he knew how they were formed in his age!

With that, he crudely yanked a branch of the river into being. When the master of time jerked with astonishment, the youngster smiled and fished out something from the countless worlds—a white fur ball!

While he didn’t know how the first spirits were born, he did indeed know how to produce life.

The youngster shoved the white fur ball into the great dao and punched the blankly staring ball of fur. It exploded, then melded into the branch of the river.

The river of dao that’d lacked a spirit slowly began to gain some. Time seemed to accelerate in the branch of the river as it shuddered and churned. It seemed to turn into a fur ball in the blink of an eye...

It was indeed that fur ball that’d exploded!

Do you see?

The youngster shrugged and tossed the fur ball onto his own head. Meanwhile, Li Hao’s expression changed slightly.

......

“A... soul!” Li Hao’s eyes widened. He might know how spirits were formed now.

He immediately turned on his heel and left, forgoing the request of borrowing strength. He charged upriver and disappeared, leaving a puzzled youngster behind him.

Huh? Why’d you run off after understanding? What are you in such a hurry for? We’ve barely exchanged a few words, not to mention you woke me up from my nap!

Eh, whatever. I benefited from the fruits of your labor for a very long period of time. I won’t take you to account for this.

He was still confused, but also increasingly curious about the situation. The youngster smiled when Li Hao disappeared upriver.

“Furball,” he murmured. “Do you think the master of time lives in an interesting age? This guy established the river to nurture his weapon, so why doesn’t he come for it?”

Perched on top of his head, a fur ball looked around blankly. It’d been asleep as well and had suddenly been hauled over here to take a punch to the face. It was completely lost.

Who?

The master of time?

Who was the master of time?

“Forget it, I should make use of this time to catch up on sleep,” sighed the youngster. “Perhaps this peace won’t last much longer... Is the chaos the real chaos? A false chaos? A chaos within the sword? A chaos of the outer worlds? How droll...”

......

Li Hao fell out of the void, his face ashen. He ignored his disorderly presence and stared off into space. He’d wanted to borrow strength from three combined bodies, but that was the last thing he was interested in now. He remained frozen in place.

Dao rules!

Order!

Souls!

The dao of this world lacked spirit. Only living beings had spirit, which was why they were living beings, as opposed to dao spirits. And the way to give birth to the spirit... was to incorporate the spirit of living beings into dao!

Li Hao didn’t say a word. He fully understood a certain concept now. Or rather, it should’ve been apparent to him a long time ago. With how disorderly the great dao and chaos was, it was a tall order to expect the worlds to naturally purify them.

What should he do?

Assimilate into the great dao and dao stars, and become them himself!

Only then could he explore the great dao and purify it...

Supernatural characters appeared in Li Hao’s hand. He hadn’t thought there was anything off about them, but now that he looked at them again, he saw them in a different light. They lacked spirit.

If he killed someone and incorporated their spirit into the supernatural characters, that would be the equivalent of cultivating that dao. For example, Southern Fist focused on the dao of fire. Killing the man, seizing his soul, and melding his spirit into the dao of fire would enable the supernatural character to cultivate by itself. It would purify the dao and wield the dao through the spirit!

It might not be able to swiftly purify the dao, but it would ultimately accomplish this goal when given enough time.

Li Hao quietly decided that voluntary assimilation was required. It was best if this was undertaken of their own accord!

He was suddenly afraid. Why were there so many daos of order in the future?
