Chapter 359: Chapter 359: Attack From White Fox Shelter
Vikram, who had just finished dealing with the attackers, heard this form of address and his face darkened slightly. To be honest, it was barely acceptable in the chat channel, but hearing it in person felt incredibly awkward.
On the other side, Lilith had already dealt with the attackers on the east side. When she came over, she saw her subordinates bowing respectfully to Vikram.
"What are you doing?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh? You little rascal, trying to poach my people while I’m away, aren’t you?"
Seeing that their boss had misunderstood, the subordinates quickly explained, "No, Boss! We haven’t betrayed you! Big Boss Vikram just saved us, so we were thanking him!"
However, they quickly fell silent, eyes widening.
Lilith slowly leaned closer to Vikram, her gaze lingering on his tall, muscular chest. With a seductive smile, she purred, "Oh? So I misunderstood you?"
She stepped even closer, her voice soft and teasing. "You little rascal, you’ve helped your big sister so much today. What reward do you want? Do you need me to find a few pretty girls to entertain you? Or... if you want your big sister to take care of you personally again, that’s fine too~"
Vikram knew Lilith was only teasing him, but doing it in public was another matter entirely. This was already the fifth time she had teased him today.
"You really think I’m an honest person, huh?"
Vikram sneered inwardly. He suddenly turned to the few Crimson Desire Shelter members still watching and a bold idea formed in his mind.
"Alright, since Lilith has said so, then I, Vikram, find it hard to refuse such a kind offer. Naturally, I must give Lilith face."
Ignoring the subordinates whose jaws had nearly dropped to the ground, Vikram pulled Lilith into his arms. A fragrant breeze carrying a faint scent of blood washed over him. He showed no sign of disgust and publicly gave her rounded backside a firm, loud slap.
Smack!
"You—!" Lilith’s eyes widened in shock. Her lips trembled, completely at a loss for words.
After all, she had been the one teasing him first. Now she didn’t even know how to respond to his audacious behavior.
"What’s wrong, Lilith?" Vikram asked with a beaming smile, his hand still resting on her soft curves. "If you’re embarrassed, we can continue this inside the shelter."
He gave her backside another playful squeeze before she could pull away. Lilith’s face flushed crimson as she quickly stepped back, though her body clearly wanted to stay in his warm embrace. She couldn’t afford to lose face in front of her subordinates.
Watching her adorable, flustered reaction, Vikram chuckled and gently pinched her cheek. "You little rascal, you can’t handle me, huh? You still don’t know me well. If I get in the mood, I won’t just fuck you, I’ll fuck you together with a few of your sisters."
Lilith was left speechless, her cheeks burning even hotter.
At that moment, Phanty and Fiery arrived, carrying two tied-up survivors.
"Vik, as you instructed, most of them are dead. We left two alive. How do you want us to deal with them?"
Lilith, still wearing a strange expression, was surprised by how easily they had handled the entire situation. She took the captives from them.
Vikram, still in a flirty mood, caught her waist again and pulled her close, whispering near her ear, "So, can you identify which faction they belong to?"
Logically, the mission was complete, but Vikram wanted to understand the situation better. And before leaving, he planned to thoroughly satisfy Lilith’s hunger by giving her "water" two or three times.
Lilith squatted down and inspected them thoroughly before shaking her head.
Then, she directly pulled the gags out of the two Survivors’ mouths.
"Which Shelter are you two from? Tell the truth."
"Hmph, even if we tell you, we’re still going to die. Might as well disgust you before we die."
Before they came, all messages in their chat had been cleared, and all friends had been deleted, so there was no way to find out their origins from the Survival Platform.
Lilith’s face darkened.
Vikram, however, secretly gave her a look, signaling for him to handle it.
Lilith thought for a moment and handed the two over to Vikram.
Leading them to a corner outside the Crimson Desire Shelter, Vikram released them.
"You brat, we already said we wouldn’t tell you a single word. If you’re going to kill us, just do it quickly. What’s with all this mysterious nonsense?"
Vikram, however, grinned, "You’re really lucky. If Lilith hadn’t invited me to help today, and it was someone else, you’d already be dead."
"Did your boss, Jade, send you here to cause trouble for Lilith?"
At these words, the two Survivors, who had been about to bash their heads in, froze instantly.
Although the hesitation in their eyes was fleeting, Vikram caught it immediately.
"As expected." Vikram chuckled inwardly.
Earlier, at the Market in the White Fox Shelter, when Vikram was negotiating with Sokka, he had noticed that the White Fox Shelter and the Crimson Desire Shelter seemed to be at odds.
Now, a random guess had actually turned out to be correct.
"No need to pretend. I know you’re members of the White Fox Shelter. Conversely, you don’t need to be afraid of me."
"Because I am also a high-ranking member from White Fox. This time, I came to help Lilith simply because it was convenient. I didn’t expect that the attackers would be people from our own shelter."
The two continuously scrutinized Vikram, finally questioning, "You’re full of it. You say you are, so you are? Then I’ll say I’m Jade."
"Exactly, we’re also semi-high-ranking members in the White Fox Shelter. How come we’ve never seen you before?"
Vikram rolled his eyes, feigning exasperation, "Then why do you think I’d help Lilith? It’s precisely because I need to infiltrate Lilith’s Shelter that I’m doing this."
"Who knew you’d come to cause trouble at the Crimson Desire Shelter for no reason?"
One of them listened, confused. He wanted Vikram to prove he was from the White Fox Shelter and didn’t understand why the other party was talking about this now.
The other person, however, seemed to have realized something and poked him, "Hey, you think, could this guy be an undercover agent our boss sent to infiltrate other Shelters? I heard the boss has trained many such people."
"So that’s it, no wonder."
Vikram saw their expressions change, knowing his guidance was successful, and decided to give them more substantial information.
"You might not believe me, but surely you believe Sokka, right?"
Vikram showed them his friend’s interface with Sokka.
There was a message from Sokka clearly displayed on it.
[Sokka: Brother Vikram, when shall we meet again? You can choose the location.]
After their last meeting at the Market, Vikram had scammed a Lucky Jewel from him, and the other party had been trying to arrange another meeting with Vikram.
Mainly, Jade wanted to meet this mysterious Survivor, Vikram, whom he had never seen before.
However, in the eyes of the two, their minds immediately interpreted it as a secret meeting between high-ranking Shelter officials.
After all, Sokka’s status in the White Fox Shelter was among the top tier. If he could chat privately with Vikram, how could the two still doubt his identity?
"Sorry, Big Brother, my tone was bad earlier. Please bear with us."
"Brother, what should we call you?"
Upon learning that he was one of their own, the two immediately changed their demeanor and said fawningly.
After all, who wants to die if they can live? They might even be secretly released by him now, so of course, they were willing to listen to Vikram.
Seeing them take the bait, Vikram immediately turned his back, presenting them with a profound silhouette.
"My name is Abhi, and I was among the first batch of members to join the White Fox Shelter. It’s normal that you don’t recognize me; I don’t blame you."
"I just want to know now, why did our Shelter suddenly attack the Crimson Desire Shelter?"
Although the two were somewhat puzzled, wondering how he, a high-ranking official, wouldn’t know these things, they still said, "The boss heard that the Crimson Desire Shelter and the Official Shelter were severely weakened at a resource point, so he decided to send us to test the waters."
"Injured at a resource point? With Lilith and Evan’s strength, to suffer a setback there, that means a Legendary-level Zombie appeared, right?"
Listening to Vikram casually analyze the appearance of a Legendary-level Zombie, the two became even more convinced that the other party wouldn’t lie to them.
"That’s right, it’s said there was more than one Legendary-level Zombie, and both sides suffered significant casualties."
"Big Shot, we’re all on the same side. I’ve told you everything I can. Can you let us go?"
Although they now believed Vikram was a high-ranking member of White Fox Shelter, they were terrified that he might go all the way with his act and simply kill them on the spot.
"I’m out on a mission, so it’s inconvenient for me to receive messages through chat. I don’t know anything about the shelter’s situation."
"One last question for you guys: has the Boss made any new moves recently?"
The two men frowned upon hearing this, and one of them said, "Big Brother, we just got promoted to high-ranking positions in the Shelter. How could we know so many secret details?"
Before he could finish, the other interrupted, "Who says there isn’t?"
"Recently, hasn’t the Boss been very frequently sending brothers out to search for resource points?"
"What’s that? What Shelter doesn’t look for resource points?"
"I know that, of course, but haven’t you noticed that the Boss now wants us to find large resource points?"
"I feel like the Boss isn’t just looking for those common resources; he must know something to give such specific instructions."
The other man wasn’t entirely sure if his thoughts were correct, but at the moment, revealing some information was better than spouting nonsense.
Fortunately, he had gambled correctly. Vikram, after hearing this, fell silent for a moment, then surprisingly untied them and let them go.
It wasn’t until the two had slipped away a considerable distance and disappeared into the woods that they seemed somewhat incredulous, "That kid really is a high-ranking member of White Fox Shelter?"
"I thought he was faking it."
In fact, there were quite a few suspicious points about Vikram. The two weren’t fools; it was too suspicious for someone on a mission to be so cut off from information.
Now that they were actually released, their minds were a mess, and for a moment, they didn’t know whether to believe his identity.
"Who cares? We’ll just tell his name to the higher-ups when we get back. I remember he said his name was Abhi?"
"Right, that’s the name. If he dared to lie to us, then when the Boss notices him, he’ll have a tough time."
