Martial Will’s voice was full of anger as he said, "It wouldn’t matter if you were a bad lair. You wouldn’t be able to cause much damage, which we can allow. But you’re too good a lair to be allowed to let loose."

His words made Heavenly Eye chuckle and say, "Thank you for the compliment. But I really am not lying this time around. The Human Emperor paid me to protect him, but Golden Sun forced me to protect him."

Tepid Scholar sighed and said, "Anyway, the situation has become more serious now that Golden Sun is involved. It seems the dragon knew that Golden Sun was here and came here specifically for him. Does he plan to save Golden Sun?"

Black Chain responded with a sneer and said, "What a greedy little dragon. His own life is not even secure. Yet, he is thinking about saving another person."

Sword Mastero interjected with a question, saying, "Do you think he is Golden Sun’s reincarnation?"

Heavenly Eye replied, "That could be true. It would explain how he knew that Golden Sun was here. But why is Golden Sun not appearing to meet him if they knew each other? And how come this reincarnation has a different pathway?"

After thinking about it, Tepid Scholar shook his head and said, "That shouldn’t be a reincarnation of Golden Sun. It should be the reincarnation of a brother of his."

When Black Chains heard this, he frowned and said, "A brother of his? I know every brother of Golden Sun. There are two of them. Time Traveler and Wandering Thief. Why don’t I recognize this one?"

Heavenly Eye also said, "That’s true. Aren’t they supposed to be triplets? Why have we never seen this brother before?"

Tepid Scholar replied, saying, "They had a fourth brother. They were actually quadruplets, not triplets."

"Three of them that we know about had Cosmic Daos, but their fourth brother had a Grand Dao. Their fourth brother was discontent with his lot and tried to change it by devouring a Grand Dao."

"This was before anyone became a Dao Lord. It was in that era before we became aware of the method to become Dao Lords. So he was still a rank 9 divine being."

"As a rank 9 divine being, he couldn’t have more than one pathway. An extra one would tear him apart. So he decided to contain a Cosmic Dao with his Grand Dao just like he can contain Divine Metacs."

Black Chains interrupted, saying, "Aren’t his brothers the only ones with Cosmic Daos in that era? Where else was he going to get a Cosmic Dao?"

Tepid responded by nodding and saying, "You’re right. Only those three possessed Cosmic Daos. So if he wanted a Cosmic Dao, he had to kill one of his brothers."

At this point, he chuckled, "You can imagine that things went badly for him. After all, you all know the three brothers, but you’ve never heard of the fourth one."

"Clearly, he didn’t succeed. But the way he failed was also interesting in its own way."

"Since he had a Grand Dao, he lacked the raw power needed to overpower and kill someone with a Cosmic Dao. So this fourth brother of theirs set out to solve the power problem first."

"The method he used to narrow the gap in their power was to expand the size of his Devouring Metac by eating. He ate everything he could find that was remotely powerful. This did nothing."

"No matter what he ate, he simply couldn’t break his limits. But then he ate a special crystal. It is what I believe to be a celestial crystal."

At this point in the story, everyone began to laugh. Martial Will laughed as he said, "He ate a celestial crystal? That couldn’t have been good. Those things are toxic to divine beings."

Tepid Scholar also chuckled as he said, "If he had succeeded in digesting the celestial crystal, maybe he could have advanced to the next stage. He would have become the first Dao Lord."

"Unfortunately, he failed to digest the celestial crystal and went mad instead. When he went mad, he went on a rampage. He attacked everything around him. But mostly, he pursued his brothers to kill them."

"Eventually, Time Traveler killed him. He died and has been forgotten. But it seems he successfully reincarnated and is now back for revenge."

Sword Mastero sighed and said, "What an interesting story. There is just so much to the history of the world that I don’t know about."

Martial Will consoled him, saying, "Don’t beat yourself down, kid. You can’t compare to that old man in terms of experience. He is ancient."

Heavenly Eye nodded and said, "He is the oldest and the first Dao Lord. So no one can compete with him in terms of knowledge."

When Tepid Scholar heard their words, he snorted and said, "I’m not that old."

Then he glared at Heavenly Eye and said, "And stop lying. You were there at that time. You saw everything happen and you know about their fourth brother."

Heavenly Eye immediately shook her head and said, "I don’t know what you’re talking about."

So Tepid scoffed and said, "What an incorrigible liar. It is fine for us to fight and compete with each other. But we should set a line that we can’t cross when we’re dealing with our enemies."

"Human Emperor, Harem King, Golden Sun, and the others are our enemies. We succeeded in defeating them once. But they are not all dead."

"At least, most of them are not dead permanently. If we don’t work together to kill them permanently, they will come back up like weeds."

"This is why I was willing to expose so much information about their fourth brother. But you refused to point out that this was their brother as soon as you saw the dragon."

Despite his admonishment, Heavenly Eye insisted, saying, "First of all, I don’t know what you’re talking about."
