Mira simply stared down at it for several long seconds, brushing the cool metal with her thumb. She willed a bit of mana into it, and a pair of translucent wings quickly unfolded behind her.

They were large enough to stretch beyond the couch, formed from layers of pale golden light rather than physical feathers. Tiny particles drifted from their edges before fading into the air.

Aria shot to her feet. "It really gave her wings!" Zenith reached out and attempted to touch one.

Her fingers passed straight through it.

"They are not real."

"They are ethereal," Elion explained. "Physical objects should pass through them, but they can still carry her through the air."

Mira glanced over her shoulder.

The wings moved in response to her thoughts, folding gently behind her before disappearing in a brief shower of golden light.

A slow smile appeared upon her face.

Elion rarely saw Mira show this much emotion, which made the quiet happiness in her expression all the more satisfying.

"This is not merely a gift," she said. "Something like this would be considered a priceless treasure in any kingdom. You could gain quite a bit of wealth if you put this up in an auction, you know, and you are simply giving it to me?"

"You say that as though you are some stranger I met yesterday."

Mira’s gaze softened.

"No, I suppose I am not."

"Besides, money can always be made in other ways; this is priceless."

She turned upon his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Thank you, darling." She leaned forward and kissed him slowly.

Aria endured it for all of three seconds. "Are you finished?" Despite the question, Mira did not immediately pull away.

Aria’s brow twitched. "Mira."

Only then did Mira separate from Elion, a satisfied smile resting upon her lips. "Your patience is admirable."

"I have no patience left." Aria marched toward them and held out both hands. "My turn."

Elion looked at her empty palms before glancing up at her eager expression. He laughed before finally reaching into his spatial storage.

A second flash of light appeared within his hand. Aria’s impatient expression vanished the moment she saw what he was holding.

Resting within Elion’s palm was an elegant crimson bracelet with a gemstone shaped like a crescent moon.

It was crafted from dark silver that gleamed faintly red under the light.

The deep scarlet gemstone was dark enough to appear black until it caught the light and revealed a bloody glow hidden within.

Several delicate chains linked the bracelet’s frame together, and tiny red crystals hung from them like drops of frozen moonlight.

Aria stared at it without saying a word.

Elion smiled. "What happened to all that impatience?"

"Give it to me."

"That did not sound very grateful."

Aria immediately placed both hands behind her back and straightened her posture. "Please give it to me." She said with a pleading gaze.

"Better." Elion dropped the bracelet gently into her waiting palm.

The moment Aria touched it, the scarlet gemstone flashed, and the artifact’s information popped into her mind.

[Crimson Moon]

[Grade: Legendary]

[Description: A bracelet forged from Blood Moon Silver and the core of a high-ranking lunar spirit. The artifact greatly enhances the wearer’s affinity with elemental mana and increases the speed at which mana can be gathered and refined.]

[Abilities:]

[Moonlit Veil: Automatically forms a layered barrier around the wearer when danger is detected. The barrier becomes stronger beneath moonlight and can conceal the wearer’s presence for a short time.]

[Crimson Step: Allows the wearer to instantly cross a short distance by traveling through a trail of crimson moonlight. The ability may be used several times in succession before requiring recovery.]

[Elemental Crown: Enhances the speed, power, range, and control of elemental spells while reducing their mana consumption.]

[Shared Moon: Allows the wearer to mark one chosen individual. The wearer can sense the marked individual’s general direction and condition within a limited range. Once per day, the wearer may instantly appear beside them if the distance is not too great.]

Mira used her newly acquired appraisal ability to read the item’s description as well.

Aria’s eyes moved slowly through the description.

When she reached the final ability, her gaze immediately snapped toward Elion. "You chose this because of the last ability."

"I guess... It seemed appropriate."

A broad smile spread across her face. "So I can always know where you are?"

"Yeah, but within a limited range." Aria took in a deep breath; she looked delighted with that particular effect.

Mira, however, raised a brow. "That sounds dangerous."

"For whom?" Aria asked.

"Elion."

Elion nodded thoughtfully. "She has a point."

Aria ignored both of them and carefully lifted the bracelet. "It is perfect."

"You have not even put it on yet."

"Then put it on me." She immediately moved closer and held out her wrist toward him.

Elion accepted the bracelet from her and studied it for a moment. "You know, I rarely get to do this sort of thing."

"Then do it properly."

Elion smiled and gently took her wrist.

Her skin was warm and soft beneath his fingers. He opened the bracelet slightly, then slipped it around her slender wrist. The moment it settled into place, it shimmered softly and adjusted itself to fit her perfectly.

The crimson gemstone pulsed once, and the dangling red crystals swayed lightly as Aria moved her hand.

She lifted her arm and stared. "It fits perfectly."

"Of course it does."

Aria turned toward Mira. "How does it look?"

Mira studied it for a moment. "It suits you."

"That does not sound enthusiastic enough."

"It looks beautiful."

Aria smiled brightly before turning toward Elion. "And?"

Elion rested his chin upon one hand, pursing his lips as though giving the question serious thought. "It is decent."

Aria’s smile vanished. "Decent?"

He failed to contain his laughter.

Aria immediately realized that he was teasing her again and struck him lightly against the chest with her free hand.

"You are awful."

"It looks beautiful," Elion admitted, catching her wrist before she could hit him a second time. "You look beautiful."

Her irritation disappeared almost instantly. She leaned closer and pressed an affectionate kiss against his lips.

Unlike Mira, she made no effort to keep the kiss brief, and when she finally pulled away, there was a smug look on her face.

Mira watched her calmly. "Were you attempting to compete with me?"

"No."

"You counted how long my kiss lasted."

"I did not."

Zenith leaned over the back of the couch. "Hers lasted longer."

Aria turned toward her triumphantly. "See?"

"That only proves you were competing," Mira said.

Aria pretended not to hear her.

Instead, she focused upon the new sensation spreading from the bracelet. A faint connection had already begun forming between her and the artifact, allowing her to understand its abilities instinctively.

The surrounding mana felt clearer than before, and it was flowing into her body much more easily.

Even without casting a spell, she could feel the nearby elemental particles responding to her presence with greater ease.

Aria lifted one hand.

A small sphere of rock formed above her palm almost instantly. Her eyes widened at how instantaneous that had felt.

"This feels completely different."

"The artifact should improve your control as well as your casting speed," Elion explained. "It will become more effective once you are fully accustomed to it."
