Chapter 1473: Chapter 1473: Getting Some Tag Alongs

I looked at the flower monster that was slowly ambling its way towards us down the corridor.

If we were any other party... We would probably need to be taking this seriously...

Katsuki appeared above it and a ball of fire was shot at the plant monster, instantly setting it aflame and leaving only ashes behind.

Another plant monster appeared from around the corner and it did not get very far before Minnera fired her assault rifle created from her skill to riddle it with bullets, killing it.

The rest of my party looked around the place with an air of boredom.

Even Odeta was looking bored.

Well... What do you expect when you bring a party of people that are able to fight an entire horde of demons down to an E ranked Dungeon...

Anyone in my party could probably just solo the entire Dungeon if they wanted to... The only actual challenge we might even get is only fighting the boss monsters and those weren’t really big challenges either.

The good news is that we just need to complete this Dungeon and we would be able to dive into the higher ranked Dungeons afterwards so this problem is only temporary.

The other good thing is that we were basically breezing through the Dungeon as well so we were clearing it way faster than normal as we cleared floor after floor without stopping.

After collecting the Mana Crystals from the plant monsters, we headed towards where we believe the stairs to the next floor was located at.

When we turned the corner, I heard the sounds of battle coming from up ahead and my girls and I shared a look before we headed towards the source of the sound.

Turning another corner, we found a group of four people who were also wearing the white robes of first year students currently engaged in battle with two of the flower monsters.

Two of them seemed to be focused on using magic while the other two were acting as vanguards with one using a sword and shield and the other one using a spear.

I watched with interest as the two mages completed their chants and shot two balls of fire at the two monsters, scoring a hit on both of them.

Unlike Katsuki who basically incinerated the monster instantly with her fireball, their own fireballs exploded into embers and knocked them back a step before the fire fizzled out of existence.

Huh... I thought it would just explode into flames if you shot fire at it but I guess I was wrong...

The plant monsters then continued their slow advance towards them and judging by how slow the two mages were chanting, they didn’t have time to shoot off another fireball before they reached them.

That’s when the two vanguards moved forward to engage the two monsters.

I watched the sword guy slash his blade at the monster, his sword smacking against the monster with a metallic thud before he quickly jumped back, avoiding the swing from one of the plant monster’s ’arms’ that was made up of leaves.

The guy with the spear then quickly moved in and stab the tip into the plant monster’s body, forcing it back another step before also jumping back, avoiding a swing from the other plant monster beside it.

They then repeated the same thing with the other plant monster as well, pushing it away from them before leaping back.

Finally, the two mages completed their chants and shot their fireballs at the two monsters again, striking them once more and pushing them back.

This time, they actually caught fire and burned up into ashes, their remains falling onto the ground to form a black, ashen pile.

I don’t want to be mean but... Holy crap that took a long time just for those two plant monsters...

I’m guessing that’s what the actual E ranked Dungeoneers look like instead of people like us...

The reason why we even stopped here was because we had to move past them to get to the next floor so we had to wait for them to finish fighting before we could walk past them.

But since they might be also heading to the boss room, we didn’t want to cut in front of them either and waited patiently for them to collect the Mana Crystals before they started moving forward.

Naturally, they noticed us standing behind them and while they were initially surprised to see us standing behind them, they quickly recovered and one of the mages, whom I assumed was acting as the party leader, even scowled at us.

"What are you looking at?"

I pointed down the corridor, indicating that we wanted to pass.

He at least had the decency to look embarrassed and he made his party step aside to let us pass.

Oh? Guess I was wrong about them heading to the next floor.

We moved past them and all of them were clearly staring at the egg I was carrying in my arms, the four of them definitely wondering why there was someone just walking around in a Dungeon with an egg.

At least... I believe that’s where they were looking since I felt that their gazes were a little bit higher than normal for looking at the egg and looked more like they were staring at the tip of the egg that was resting directly in front of my chest instead.

Not sure what’s so interesting about the tip of my egg but ok?

We moved past them and turned another corner to find the stairs waiting for us just like we expected.

Naturally, we headed down the steps without hesitation while I heard the footsteps of the four guys following behind us.

None of us paid them any mind as we climbed to the lower floor, which ended up leading us to a boss room where the doors were wide open.

Inside, I could see it was basically a giant version of the flower monster we had met with and the entire room was pretty much filled with roots that covered the walls and ceiling, leaving only the ground free from it.

As we were going to head inside, the leader of the group behind us called out suddenly.

"He... Hey? You’re... Just going to go in without preparing?"

I paused and turned back to look at him, prompting all of my girls to look back as well.

"We’re over leveled for the Dungeon. We’re just going through this to help the new members of our team get the E rank to challenge the higher difficulty Dungeons," I explained.

The four of them looked at each other before turning back to me, their leader stepping forward sheepishly.

"Umm... If... If it’s not too much to ask... Could we... Could we follow your party?"

I frowned at him, "Why? What’s the point of just following us clear the Dungeon when you don’t have the ability to clear it yourself? Even if you managed to clear the Dungeon and become E ranked Dungeoneers, you won’t be able to fight in the D ranked Dungeons and would lose your life instead."

He shook his head, "We’re not aiming to be Dungeoneers, we’re just after the privileges of the rank."

I blinked at him since this was something I didn’t know.

He most likely realised that as he scratched his cheek with a wry smile, "You don’t know huh... Well... It’s not official anyway... But if you have a higher Guild rank, you get better treatment in the Guild stores and also better treatment in the Clans when they are looking to recruit. E rank might not be much but it’s definitely better than F rank or even being unranked. If we can get an E rank before school starts, we might secure a spot in one of the Clans and we can get resources through them for our studies."

Hmm... I’m not too sure if I would condone something like that but I understand the desire to use every available resource to ensure your own success at the very least.

I considered it for a moment, wondering if I should help him considering he was still technically a competitor in regards to being a student in Aerialla Academy...

If I help him here, he might even gain resources that help him rise up to the top position of the Academy...

Hmph... If just helping him like this is enough to let him overtake me, then I guess I don’t deserve that position to begin with.

"Come on then. But all the Mana Crystals and monster parts belong to us. Got it? You can keep your Dungeon Clear reward at least."

He gasped, "Dungeon Clear? Umm... Can we get there by today?"

I said nothing and just turned back to lead the way to the Boss room, prompting them to hurry after us.

The doors closed behind us and a layer of fog appeared to lock us in with it, the flower boss monster already shifting itself into an attack stance.

I went ahead to nod at Odeta and she gave me a grin before shooting forward, my Amrap cocking back her fist before punching down on the flower head of the boss.

That was a spark of lightning before the air exploded from the shockwave of the punch, the entire boss literally flattening itself into the ground and exploding into pieces of petals and leaves.

Hmm~ Hmm~ Not bad. Let’s move on~

You better keep up guys, otherwise we’re just going to leave you behind, ok?
