Chapter 2155: Chapter 2155: Sleeping on the Moon

Sleeping on the moon, Arad’s titanic body released enough radiation that nothing could survive near him besides void dragons. His mother watched from the dark void, and Altair lay on his great body, sitting guard. He was fine and could fight at full power since his human soul was what got injured, not his draconic soul. But if he wanted his human soul to recover faster, he needed to rest, and sleep was the only way to achieve that.

Lunara watched him from afar, standing several thousand kilometres away, where he only looked like a tiny dot on the horizon. But even where she stood, the radiation levels were extremely high, to the point that her Moon Rabbits couldn’t survive here for more than a few hours.

When she heard that Arad was going to sleep here on the moon, she expected him to come take a nap in her palace, sleep on her bed, and that she could have him for herself for a long time. But she was wrong. Now, she couldn’t even get close to him, even with her great power.

Arad was close to evolving to the next stage in his aging, so his entire draconic body was extremely volatile now, and this injury only showed the flames that were already burning. "He is so powerful that I, a Demon Lord, cannot approach him. That is horrifying."

This was a whole other level of power, alien even to the demons. For someone to be so powerful that merely approaching him is a death sentence. She could fathom and understand getting burned by flames, getting beaten, or even the sheer pressure of magic... but what Arad’s body released was none of that; it was an invisible curse.

Eris was the same as well, and only Amaterasu’s divine magic is keeping her safe around people. She is still a new goddess, and controlling those fine details of her power is still hard. Even adult humans who lived for decades cannot slow down their heart rate at will, nor can they lower their own body temperature. Eris is a sun, and radiation is a part of her biological -for the lack of a better word- function

"Living beings can’t approach him." Diana landed beside her and looked toward Arad as she folded her massive black wings. "In my destruction form, that is. Anything made of flesh would just rot and fall apart. His presence destroys the very essence of life itself."

Looking at Diana landing beside her, Lunara smiled, letting herself feel happy for a second. "Do you know how cool and honorable it is for a demon to see an angel of destruction, let alone an archon? I never expected that a day would come when I would get to talk to an archon like this."

Diana smiled. "All thanks to that idiot who managed to get both you and her divinity Kali, to spread your legs to him." She giggled. "I have never seen someone with his achievements, and I heard Uncle Kayden was willing to kill anyone who approaches Kali."

"Arad managed to do it, and it looks like I’m already becoming too weak to be relevant. I can’t even approach him with this curse." She shook her head. "No, it isn’t a curse, but a test. An insurmountable barrier that filters the weak from those who are worthy to stand in his presence."

The radiation destroys cells and causes rapid deterioration of all living bodies. Different living beings have different levels of tolerance, but Arad’s emissions are far too powerful to be endured. His body constantly broke matter for energy, the same way a human’s body would break sugar for energy. The result was that Arad’s body doesn’t just release the excess energy as heat, but as radiation as well.

That is the reason why void dragons can eat anything: stone, dirt, metals, flesh, bones, even dust. Their stomach doesn’t care if you give it meat or iron; it breaks all atoms down and harvests the energy from it. That is why Arad’s titanic body could sustain itself and function at full power on just a few whales a month. It wasn’t about how many calories a whale has, but its mass and E=m.c^2.

"And this is just with him asleep. The more active he gets, the more energy his body would create, and the more curse is released. If he were to go all out and spend a lot of energy, I bet you that no place on the entire moon would be safe." Diana crossed her arms. "Altair is sitting guard on his back, but honestly, she has nothing to guard him from. Even approaching him is deadly, let alone starting a fight."

Lunara sighed, "To think a dragon’s human soul is that important. What of the void dragons that don’t have one? Those born to only void dragons." She asked, and Diana shrugged. "None is born now, but they have to learn how to control that as they age. So in their youth, they are strictly kept with their mother’s stomach and kept away from all other living beings. Even since the Dracorage Mythic, void dragons cannot get closer to each other." She pointed at Arad, "Even if Yog could make the space cubes and give them to people, it isn’t something she can give to everyone, so currently only the Orion family has them."

"Let’s say he is pushed into a corner. With all of this power, what do you think he could unleash?" Lunara asked, and Diana closed her eyes. "Judging by what came out when Eris almost erased him in their fight, he would at least shatter an entire world."

That version of Arad, who is filled to the brim with Eldritch Magic, wasn’t someone that even Archons could take lightly. She would’ve thought he was an abomination if the universe wasn’t just fine with him. Usually, when someone even gets a bit too close to eldritch magic, the universe would start rejecting them immediately as if they were the plague itself. It is an adverse, rapid, and violent reaction to something that shouldn’t exist.

Arad was using enough eldritch magic that all the gods should’ve swarmed down to kill him, but no one did. Amaterasu was there, and yet she allowed it. It was strange, but one thing was clear... Arad is something else besides a dragon. And that wasn’t all; recently, Merlin had also turned into an Abominable chimera, and while the universe rejected her existence since it is harmful to mere mortals, it didn’t kick her out.

They said it was thanks to Doma’s curses, but Diana could tell that Merlin was drawing her eldritch magic from Arad directly, so that is why the universe was lenient with her. Whatever Arad was, he was getting more privileges from the universe than even the gods.

It was then that it clicked in her head. "An abomination that the universe cannot reject, someone above the gods, someone that Kali, destruction, would happily spread her legs for. One that Amaterasu won’t dare look down on..." Only one existence matched that in her mind, and she was terrified of even thinking that it might be true.

She flapped her wings. "I have to go now. Keep an eye on him for now, and if anything changes, report it back to Kali immediately. The last thing we want is Nyar trying to take advantage of this situation."

She had to talk about this with someone she trusts... Kali won’t do... "Where is Mathilde now..."
