Such worlds either possess abundant resources, superb agricultural conditions, rich mineral deposits, or precious resources, like fine gold or mithril for extraction and refinement. They might have excellent energy attributes, a large population, or strong industrial capacity...

Essentially, these are the criteria.

Or they could hold strategic value, located at critical transportation hubs in the star chart, blocking numerous interstellar routes if not occupied.

Or they could have significant political meaning; their fall could greatly affect the morale of the entire region, such as having great historical value, or being the capital of a Star Domain or even the Cosmos Domain...

Generally speaking, such high-value worlds are relatively few.

The remaining worlds are then subjected to safety zone strategy assessments; if there’s a big problem but they’re not important, they’ll be categorized under safe zones, with planetary autonomy and Alliance support based on assessment levels. As their issues gradually resolve over time, or if the problems were minimal initially, they’ll undergo Alliance governance transformation, under direct Alliance Government control.

Establishing regime, investing, developing economy, providing taxes and profits, building local defense forces...

That’s what it’s all about.

However, here, they encountered some issues.

With a Son of God present, things become quite complicated.

Without the Lionheart King, the Alliance has a mature approach for handling rebel armies.

Typically, they acknowledge the contributions of rebel, resistance, and defiance armies for their bloodshed and sacrifice in protecting planets and human worlds, praising their achievements, and actively integrating these loyal human forces into the Alliance’s governmental system. They respect local contributions considerably, ensuring newly formed regimes include their seats without being too sparse.

But, overall, it still must conform to the Alliance’s system; exceptionally high autonomy like the ’local emperor-style’ Planetary Governor mechanism of the old Empire is unimaginable.

If these local forces demonstrate dissent after being rescued or have ulterior motives, it’s definitely not permitted. First negotiate, then warn; if unsuccessful, issue a final ultimatum.

At that point, they’ll be labeled as rebels, defined as enemies of humanity, and struck against. Their treatment is akin to dealing with Chaos, alien enemies, and heretics. The only difference is that the Alliance accepts their surrender, but not the surrender of Chaos and aliens.

But the Son of God... is still too unique.

Currently, within the New Empire’s jurisdiction, there’s only one area not aligned with the Alliance’s system, which is the special district of the Infinite Corps’ stronghold, the Infinite Starfield.

Allowing high autonomy for the Infinite Starfield, designated as a ’political special district’ in the Empire’s constitution, is due to the Infinite Starfield’s exceptional governance, comparable to the Alliance’s core regions, alongside the crucial factor of Robert’s special status as the Son of God.

Otherwise, the reputation of the fledgling Infinite Corps alone wouldn’t qualify a Star Domain for autonomy.

Other founding corps like the Saints, the Phoenix, Bat, Golden Knights, and others currently returned under Empire command, only possess autonomy over their birthplace.

That’s clearly stipulated in the Star Warrior Codex, and the Alliance has not challenged it.

It’s not limited to founding corps; some older corps also follow this rule.

All newly established corps don’t have a ’birthplace’ concept now.

All Interstellar Warrior training comes from the New Blood Cultivation Center under the Interstellar Warrior Management, their ’birthplace’ being the entire Alliance and New Empire.

The Infinite Starfield, leveraging the Son of God and its own excellent governance skills, earned its special district status. But how should the Lionheart King be addressed here?
