Chapter 1152: Chapter 1152: Another One? [3]
Even its wings changed.
Previously, they had appeared assembled from countless skeletal fragments. Now every bone aligned perfectly.
The wings expanded until they rivaled mountains in size.
Its vertebrae thickened. Its tail lengthened. The flames within its eye sockets compressed before exploding into two brilliant suns of ghostly fire.
The pressure surrounding the Bone Dragon climbed without stopping.
Michael immediately felt an immense drain on his reserves. His breathing became rough.
The burden of maintaining two Echoed Bestowals simultaneously was far beyond anything he had ever attempted.
Sweat poured down his forehead. His vision blurred for an instant. But he gritted his teeth and endured.
This much he could still handle. His gaze remained fixed on the sight before him.
Unlike the Undead High Drake, which had flesh, the Bone Dragon remained a creature of death.
However, those bones no longer resembled ordinary skeletons. Each one appeared carved from flawless crystal, with ancient-looking runes naturally spread across every surface.
The surrounding death energy condensed into an enormous translucent dragon that perfectly overlapped the skeletal body.
The Bone Dragon slowly raised its head.
ROOOOOOOOAAAAAR!!
The sound rolled across hundreds of kilometers. Even the Undead High Drake paused for a fraction of a second before continuing its assault.
The blood-robed Demigod's expression finally changed completely. Her eyes shifted away from the Undead High Drake.
For the first time since the battle began, she looked toward Michael. A trace of panic appeared in her crimson eyes.
Michael had no pity for her. Not even a little. The woman had descended upon Brightgate City intending to kill him, knowing full well how many ordinary people would be caught beneath her aura alone.
Whatever happened next was simply the result of her own decision.
His gaze hardened.
"Go."
The command travelled through the soul connection. The transformed Bone Dragon reacted instantly.
BOOM!
Its enormous wings spread. Unlike the Undead High Drake, whose every movement created violent hurricanes through sheer overwhelming mass, the Bone Dragon moved with a strange and almost unnatural silence.
The sky in front of it collapsed inward. A golden streak tore across the battlefield.
The female Demigod sensed the approaching danger immediately. Her expression changed. She twisted her body and raised one hand.
The vast sea of blood surrounding her surged upward, forming dozens of enormous walls between herself and the incoming Bone Dragon. Each wall was several hundred meters thick.
Bright crimson symbols covered their surfaces while countless screaming faces emerged from within the blood. The defenses were strong enough to endure attacks from powerful Rank Four supernaturals without trembling.
The Bone Dragon did not slow down.
Golden light gathered around its horns as it lowered its skull.
BOOM!
The first wall exploded. Then the second. The third. The fourth. The Bone Dragon tore through every layer without losing momentum. Blood scattered across the heavens like a crimson storm.
The female Demigod's pupils contracted. She immediately shifted through space. Her figure disappeared from her position just before the Bone Dragon's jaws snapped shut.
CLANG!
The collision between its teeth sent a metallic shockwave across the sky. Even though the attack missed, the force alone crushed the surrounding blood sea and created a circular void several kilometers wide.
The woman reappeared far above it. Before she could stabilize herself, a shadow covered her body.
The Undead High Drake had arrived. Its claw descended from above.
The female Demigod crossed all six wings before her. Crimson light surged around them.
BOOM!
The claw struck. The woman was smashed downward like a falling star. She tore through several layers of the blood sea before crashing toward the ground.
However, before she could reach it, the Bone Dragon's tail swept horizontally. The enormous skeletal tail struck her side.
CRACK!
Several sections of her crimson armor shattered. Her body changed direction instantly and was sent flying across the horizon. Blood spilled from her lips.
The Bone Dragon followed. Its wings folded tightly against its frame. Golden death energy surrounded its body as it shot after her with terrifying speed.
The female Demigod barely managed to turn before the Bone Dragon's skull rammed into her.
BOOM!
The air ruptured behind her. The impact forced her body through several kilometers of air in a single instant. Her remaining wings spread desperately as she attempted to halt her momentum.
The Undead High Drake appeared behind her. A colossal tail descended.
The Demigod's eyes widened. She vanished again. The tail struck empty space.
The ground thousands of meters below collapsed as the force travelled downward. A massive trench appeared across the landscape.
The female Demigod reappeared between the two dragons. Her breathing had become noticeably heavier. Blood streamed from the corner of her mouth.
The armor covering her torso had been reduced to cracked fragments. With the void being locked by the two dragons working in tandem, her teleportation became increasingly difficult.
As for deploying her domain, just like many of Michael's opponents before her, after exchanging blows she had come to believe he possessed abilities comparable to her own rank.
That caution had kept her domain inactive, held in reserve in case the High Drake deployed its own.
If she had deployed it instead of sitting on it, she might have glimpsed the reality of the situation and turned things around. Unfortunately for her, that caution worked entirely in Michael's favor.
She looked from the Undead High Drake to the transformed Bone Dragon. She had expected Michael to possess some hidden means, had even prepared herself for the possibility that he could temporarily resist her.
However, resisting a Demigod and summoning two creatures capable of overwhelming one were completely different matters.
The female Demigod raised both hands. The remaining blood sea surged violently.
Every drop of blood within several kilometers gathered around her.
Michael watched in shock as even creatures caught beyond the shockwaves of the battle dissolved into blood mist, drawn into her gathering power.
Her six wings opened fully. The damaged wing regrew before his eyes as blood filled the missing portions.
A crimson crown materialized above her head and the pressure surrounding her increased sharply.
