However, Ace couldn’t rest right now, nor did he want to, because first he needed to return to the Undead Cradle with a new identity, as the plan of infiltrating the Evernight Sanctuary still hadn’t changed.

More importantly, Ace needed to claim the Discretionary Mission rewards, and he was about to get on with it when a system interface popped up in front of him.

Ace couldn’t help but smile wryly when he saw Eva’s call, as he knew she might have figured out something.

After all, he had no idea about what was going on outside the Undead Boundary, but since he had now stolen the Undead Boundary’s core formation, there were bound to be changes. But there was also a tiny possibility that she was just calling for his help.

Ace accepted the call and masked his exhaustion with vigor and affection. "What can I do for you, my lovely wife?"

"Drop the act." Eva didn’t even play along, and in a melodious yet dangerous tone, she asked, "While you were having a time of your life, robbing the secret realm, you didn’t even remember to take your ’lovely wife’ with you? Am I that much of a burden to you?"

Ace’s eye spasmed, and a hint of astonishment flickered in them because even if some earth-shattering changes appeared in the Undead Cradle, Eva shouldn’t have associated with him this quickly, not to mention confidently declaring that it was because of a theft.

Without trying to hide it anymore, Ace asked in a serious tone, "I’ll tell you everything as the circumstances don’t allow me to look for you. I’ll make it up to you, I promise. Now, can you tell me what happened and how you knew I just stole something from the secret realm?"

"Hehe~, make it up to me? I might hold you onto that." Eva ambitiously giggled as she seemed quite satisfied with this promise, and told him, "Well, it’s not just me who knew the mighty ’Sky Stealer’ had performed a theft in the trail grounds, but right about now, I think the entire Evernight Council knows the name Sky Stealer!"

"How?" Ace was slightly bewildered as he couldn’t comprehend how this was possible.

Unless the Corpse Governor had gone completely mad and started to tell everyone about what happened, but even then, no one would believe him, especially the Evernight Council, as they’ll most likely kill him on sight if he dared to show his face.

But when Eva told him about the ginormous Thief Symbol in the very sky of the Undead Cradle, Ace’s eyes widened with disbelief because even he wasn’t expecting the system to do something this ridiculous.

Although he can still wrap his head around the thief symbol appearing in the sky, he felt it was excessive, not to mention ridiculously dangerous for him. But on the bright side, this would help him gain a terrifying fame, and he also learned another thing about his thief symbol.

Nonetheless, the Evernight Council will probably start searching for him if they also figure out that the Sky Stealer wasn’t some ancient entity escaped from the Undead Cradle but just an Abyssal Master, or Nomad himself.

But the chances of them figuring this out were almost none because after today, Nomad should forever vanish from the world, while no one would believe that there was such an entity capable of such, still roaming free.

Anyhow, Ace then briefly explained his experience in the Undead Cradle and how he pulled off an impossible theft despite all odds against him.

"Oh, so that’s what happened." Eva seemed to have finally realized what Ace had gone through, while secretly worrying about him.

"Since Nomad’s identity is already burned, and you are outside the Undead Cradle now, what are you going to do next? Do you want me to take over the inspection of Evernight Sanctuary alone?" Eva asked seriously.

"No, it’s too dangerous. The Evernight Council is hundreds of times more powerful and unpredictable than the Undead Cradle. We need to do it together. The entry for the Evernight Trial is still active, so I’ll be back in no time." Ace confidently declared.

"Well, you’d better hurry then, because after your thief symbol has appeared, we heard a notification through our rings to head towards the council’s main base in the Undead Cradle. They even gave us a map and warned us to be aware of the hostile Aboriginals of the trail grounds."

Ace’s eyes narrowed, "I’ll be there. But you need to be careful now because the Council may have already realized the anomaly of the Undead Boundary, and even the Evernight Kings might rush over there."

"I understand."

Afterward, the call was finally concluded, but Ace’s plan to take it easy went up in smoke when everything took a drastic turn, and he didn’t want to be left behind.
