Chapter 335: Chapter 335 - 333:“This king has given his verdict.”
"Eyy? Where’d the others go?" Malachi looked around the moment his feet touched ground.
He had suddenly found himself within an underground cavern.
Dull brown moss covered walls on all sides.
He had just stepped through the gates. Excited about getting into another competition with Dante.
The last time Dante had embarrassed him hard enough to hide his face, but now...
Step.
Step.
Step.
"The noise came from behind the path. Let’s see who it is." The sound of footsteps and voices from behind stopped his thoughts cold as he turned around.
The moment he did. He came in contact with his first abyss walkers.
The moment his eyes landed on them, a grin split his face as he tossed aside every thought of Dante and the others.
"Kekekekekekekeke... yes. This is how a king should be welcomed."
"Who are you?" The newly arrived individuals asked.
Their postures were relaxed, almost as if they couldn’t be bothered to raise their guards.
Malachi’s grin widened as he took in their appearance.
They had black hair.
Tall and slender physiques.
With ashen grey skin and slitted pupils. They were unlike anything he’d seen before.
"Hey.. you there.. outsider. What are you looking for?" Noticing the silence of the outsider before them, the newly arrived individuals asked once more.
"Oh..." finally snapping out of his surprise, Malachi replied.
"Oh.. nothing much. I just need you two to answer a few questions of mine.." His grin widened...
"You guys wouldn’t happen to be Abyss Walkers, would you?"
The atmosphere changed the moment those words were uttered.
"Outsider... you dare reduce the Veyr to that filthy name?" One of the creatures growled. Murderous intent rising.
"Heh." Feeling the killing intent rising from the two, his smile turned maddened.
Instructor valen had told them during their briefing that the natives absolutely disliked being called such a term, so now, seeing their reactions, his doubts were cleared.
"Seems I was right. You are Abyss walkers."
The moment those words left his mouth. The look on the faces of the creatures changed.
Their arms reached for the swords strapped to their waists as their Second-Stage transformation stage aura exploded outwards.
"Ohh.. this is going to be fun." The thought had barely completed itself when the two creatures moved.
Their movement was elegant. No wasted motion.
But...
"Heh. You guys are too weak." Facing off against a fully crowned monkey king at the Final Stage of the transformation stage, the outcome was already a far gone conclusion.
WOOOOOOSHHHH!!!!
Swinging his golden staff in a horizontal sweep.
Malachi swatted the two creatures away like annoying flies.
BANG! BANG!
The two collided with the walls, crashing through them as their bodies collapsed from the damage.
"Heh. And that’s all you’re..." before he could complete his thoughts..
Swoooooshhhhh!
A blade strike passed right above his temple as he ducked in haste.
Slice!
A cutting strike aimed at his midsection followed suit as...
Pshhhhhhh.....
Blood spurted like a crimson-gold fountain.
Feeling the pain spreading from his midsection, Malachi retreated in a haste.
He raised his head. Eyes locking onto the two creatures he had disposed of.
"Hmm?" His wound closed up as he raised a curious brow.
"Now, that’s just freaky.." his fangs poked out as he gave a bright and toothy grin.
"Outsider... you’re going to pay for that." The Veyr growled as their bodies patched themselves back together
"Let me see how you do that.."
BOOOOOMM!!
Not giving them any chance to react. Malachi spawned between the two as his staff spun wildly..
BANG!
BANG!!
Following two swift strikes. The two veyrs exploded into blood mist.
Their heads detached before the damage could reach them, but..
SPLAT!!!
A massive staff slammed into them before either head could regenerate a new body.
.....
.....
"Is that it?" Getting no more response after waiting a few moments, Malachi’s enthusiasm died out completely.
"Damn!" He spat. Suddenly angry.
"And here I thought I was about to have some fun." He growled.
Step. Step. Step.
The slow sounds of footsteps coming from ahead stopped the raging monkey before he could spiral.
"Oho? There’s more? Good." Not waiting for them to make an appearance, he hopped on his feet before..
BOOOOMMMMM!!!!!
Launching himself straight ahead, his figure disappeared into the tunnels ahead...
.....
...
BANG!!!!!!
Only for him to come flying out at an even faster speed. The entire right half of his body having been decayed completely.
"Cough... cough... blerghhhhhh...." He got into a violent coughing fit, puking up copious amounts of blood, as his eyes shook violently.
"Wha.. what the fuck..." he tried to catch his breath, but something was preventing his regeneration. Slowing down the process significantly.
"Hmmmm.... An outsider? Here? How curious." A calm and indifferent voice came from the path ahead.
The sounds of footsteps coming to a stop as Malachi raised his trembling gaze.
"And a monkey too. How curious indeed."
The speaker was a man with pure silver white hair.
His ashen grey skin had some black runic markings on the arms and legs.
His tall and slender frame was dressed in a form fitting crimson-gold robe.
The world around him churned in madness as something messed with the very order of the space around them.
"Damn... what is this.." Malachi growled as he felt his regeneration being stifled still.
"Oh that? I just made a breakthrough in my seclusion. I finally reached the peak of resonance in my comprehension. Just a little bit more and I’ll reach Embodiment."
"But that’s not any concern of yours now is it, outsider? Mind telling me how you got into my secluded area?" The man asked. Voice calm and curious. Not an ounce of urgency in his tone.
He hadn’t even bothered to ask about what happened to his guards.
"Heh... you know.." Groaning audibly, malachi forced himself up.
"I really hate when people look down on me like that." His eyes flashed a brilliant golden hue as an aura of pure unblemished gold covered his body.
"Hmm?" The Veyr man raised a brow In curiosity as he felt the remnants of his law within the monkey be purged out completely.
"Interesting..."
The light show faded and malachi reappeared.
His form now clad in a golden armor.
A golden hooped band crowning his head majestically.
He slung his staff casually across his shoulder as he leveled an indifferent look at the the veyr before him.
An aura of sickening pride and hubris rolling off of him in maddening waves.
"For your insolence just now, allow me to grant you the mercy of forfeiting your life."
His demeanor did a complete one eighty as, gone was the witty and funny monkey.
In his place had appeared, for the first time in millennia, The true monkey king.
"Heh! Interesting... very interesting. Alright then outsider. You’ve got my attention. Let’s hope you don’t disappoint me." The veyr man smiled. All his teeth being out on display as the aura of a Peak Law comprehension stage expert erupted out of him in waves.
Malachi didn’t speak. His own aura merely responded in kind as..
BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!
The secluded cavern exploded into debris from the clash of their auras.
The skies above bled crimson and gold as their clashing auras stained the horizon.
"Abyss walker, this king has already given his verdict. Today. You die."
BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!
........
........
"Haaa... fuck. Just my rotten luck." Somewhere far removed from the center of collision between malachi and the veyr, Leo sighed in absolute exhaustion as he leveled an unimpressed stare at the two figures before him.
"To think I ditched one annoyance just to spawn before another one. Haaaa. Just who the fuck did I offend in my past life."
"HYYYYY!!! Long time no see, o’prince of despair ."

A/N: Eyy? Prince? Wait! Leo? Oh and, seems the monkey has bitten more than he can chew this time hahahaha.. anyways..
