"Why would the King make you become a Doomsday Prophet?"

Lu Cang snorted coldly. "Think carefully. Is there anything else you need to confess? If you don’t tell me everything, you can leave your life here."

Though he had the face of a child, his expression was now incredibly grim.

Lu Cang proceeded to interrogate him for about half an hour, getting all the details of the situation.

Advancement for a Mechanician requires a lot of resources, and the Kingdom’s resources are limited.

To advance to a Level 5 Mechanician, he had agreed to some of the King’s conditions. One of them was to take on the Profession of Doomsday Prophet.

He was to prophesize the coming Doomsday according to the King’s demands.

After the Doomsday prophecy was made.

The location prophesied to face Doomsday would form a special point of Destiny, where all sorts of destructive events would gradually begin to converge.

’This Profession is truly terrifyingly bizarre.’

’To think a mere prophecy could directly call forth a devastating catastrophe...’

However, if the prophecy is made but not fulfilled, the prophet will forever lose the chance to advance to a Level 2 Doomsday Prophet.

Lu Cang casually levitated all of the man’s storage items into his hand, sweeping his Perception across them.

Without answering his question, he vanished in an instant, gone without a trace.

There were many good things in the Storage Bag. These Type VI machines were all the work of a Level 6 Mechanician.

The current naming convention for mechanical creations is based on the creator’s Level.

Type I through VIII models correspond to the creations of Level 1 through Level 8 Mechanicians, respectively. Only Level 9 has no special model designation.

Mechanical creations of that Level are apparently just called "perfect" mechanical creations.

’The King of Tengge must be a Level 6 Mechanician...’

Instead, there were gates of exquisite construction.
