Kumironi had blocked many of the Filthy Worms for him, but because this was only a Level 1 profession change, the onslaught of corruption wasn’t as fierce as it was for advancing from Level 3 to Level 4.

According to the theories of Destiny Science, even if multiple Divination Masters performed a divination on the same event, they might receive different results.

This wasn’t just a matter of divination accuracy.

It was also because they all saw a version of Destiny in which they had not yet intervened.

If one Divination Master made a prophecy and then chose to intervene, another Divination Master might then foresee the Destiny that resulted from that intervention.

The event that would ultimately occur was called the "True Destiny"—the inevitable result after all prophecies and interventions had played out.

True Destiny was known as the fate that would unfold no matter what, but foreseeing it was extraordinarily difficult.

And the Heavenly Destiny Theorem Technique, which one must master to advance as a Prophet, was the very Magic capable of foreseeing True Destiny, a Magic that only a Prophet could use.

However, to foresee True Destiny also meant confirming an inevitable event that could not be changed, no matter what.

Deciding whether or not to look was no trivial matter.

If you foresaw your own inevitable death... it meant you were powerless to change your fate.

But after watching for only a moment, Lu Cang felt a heavy weight settle over his mind.

Lu Cang quickly pulled back from his observation.

Noticing Lu Cang’s pained expression, Kumironi couldn’t help but step forward. "Little Lu Cang? What’s wrong?"

Lu Cang shook his head. "No, it’s nothing."

’Or more accurately, so much Spirituality.’

He hadn’t expected foreseeing the future to consume Spirituality. He had just viewed too many future events in one go, peering at fragments that were too long, and his Spirituality couldn’t handle the strain.
