With over two thousand prisoners, Alex eventually decided to contact the International Police Headquarters and leave the arrests to them. He was then given a list of locations where he was to drop them off for processing, along with the number of prisoners assigned to each site.

It wasn't exactly standard protocol, but two thousand prisoners was a significant enough number to warrant it, especially since they weren't even native to Kanto.

Either way, it was no longer Alex's concern once he handed them over to the authorities. What was his concern was collecting the bounties, which included video evidence of his battle with Alaric Graves, although that would take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to process.

A week later, Alex officially received Jenny's invitation to visit, along with her new address on Jenny Island. As expected, Vera was quite shocked that she hadn't been invited to the wedding, but she didn't complain much. It wasn't like Jenny had attended her wedding either, only the after-party.

Alex, along with all his women except Clarissa and all his children, including Alvera, teleported to the International Police Headquarters before taking the train together. There were 22 of them in total: Alex, 8 children, and 13 women. It was a rather large family, watching the technologically advanced city pass by through the windows as they made their way to the outskirts, where Jenny's new home was waiting for them.

Once they arrived, they found themselves in a quiet suburban neighborhood on the outskirts of the city, complete with a handful of local stores that catered to the residents' everyday needs. Everywhere they looked stood the same modest 5-bedroom, 2-story homes, each opening onto an expansive shared backyard where Pokémon could roam and play freely. Every homeowner on the street was a Jenny, leaving little reason to separate the properties with restrictive fencing.

Alex rang the doorbell, and not long later, the door opened to reveal Jenny, his adoptive mother, looking exactly the same as she had when he first met her nearly 40 years ago. She was still a beautiful young woman with shoulder-length green hair and a stern expression despite being nearly 70 years old. It boded well for his own girls' future, given that they were all approaching Champion rank as well.

“Joe! Alex and the others are here!” Jenny called over her shoulder before inviting them inside. “There are my grandchildren!” she exclaimed happily, receiving hugs from each of them, along with wedding gifts that would serve Champion ranked trainers well.

Among the children were Alvera, nearing 30; Lila, Kai, and Micah, nearing 20; and four new additions, all nearing 10 years old. There was Vera's son, Veran, who had inherited Alex's battle maniac tendencies in full. Kaia's daughter, Kaela, who had her mother's green thumb. Lina's daughter, Lana, who loved cooking just like her mother. And Talia's daughter, Liana, who wanted to become a Pokémon Breeder like Vera.

Of course, Veran, like Alvera and Lila before him, had already been given the talk about Pokémon, humans, morality, and ethics, so he at least knew when to hold back and when to go all out. Still, he was without a doubt Alex's most violent child, which meant he needed extra attention so he could channel those instincts properly. It wasn't that big of a problem, though, because most of the child's aggression was directed at Alex. As far as Veran was concerned, his father was both his hero and the peak he wanted, needed to surpass.

“Come inside and make yourselves comfortable,” Jenny said, ushering them through the house and out to the backyard, where Joe was tending the barbecue.

“Alex, it's great to see you again,” Joe said, giving him a firm handshake.

“Joe, congratulations on the marriage and reaching Champion rank,” Alex replied.

“Thanks! Hahaha,” Joe said in his loud voice, followed by his signature laugh.

“So, now that you've reached Champion rank, I'm guessing your next goal is to reach Master rank.”

“No, no, not anytime soon,” Joe said, shaking his head. “Our top priority is to start a family. We've both spent enough time overworking ourselves, so settling down and taking advantage of our welfare seems like the right move.”

“That’s good,” Alex said, fully agreeing.

Joe was just a normal guy who didn't have Alex's problem, so there was nothing wrong with dedicating decades to a completely different way of life to rekindle his passion. Alex, meanwhile, needed fights to keep him occupied, lest he lose his mind to the mundane routine of an ordinary family life.

“What about after?” Alex asked.

“Once the kids have grown up, we're thinking of travelling with our Pokémon and perhaps starting a journey. I especially want to visit all the martial arts institutions in every region, with the Isle of Armor being my personal goal in the distant future.”

“I happen to have a good relationship with Mustard, so let me know when you're ready for that trip.”

“Really?” Joe asked, stars in his eyes, before wrapping Alex in a big bear hug. “Ahaha. Thank you, Alex! That means the world to me.”

Meanwhile, Jenny was having a similar conversation with the girls.

“So, Jenny, how many kids are you and Joe planning to have?” Vera asked excitedly.

“At least three before we decide whether to stop,” Jenny replied. “We'd rather have enough children that we never end up wondering if we should've had one more, you know?”

“Oh, I totally understand,” Kaia said. “After having my first, it was a huge relief. It was proof that I could actually become a mother. After my second, I finally felt like I'd done my part. I'm especially happy to have Kaela since she'll inherit my knowledge and responsibilities one day. Knowing there's someone to carry on if anything ever happens to me brings a lot of peace of mind. Now I'm thinking about a third because it feels like I'm giving my family a little more security.”

“What about you, Vera?” Jenny asked. “How many children are you planning to have now that you already have two?”

“I…” Vera hesitated, a heavy blush spreading across her cheeks. “I don't think I'll ever want to stop having children with Alex.”

All the girls either turned to Vera in surprise or simply shook their heads. Most were only just beginning to think about having children, while some, like Nyx, Maris, and Rhea had already decided they never wanted any. Hearing Vera say she never wanted to stop having children with Alex was therefore either genuinely shocking or perfectly in character. After all, among them she was known as the group's mother, happiest whenever she was caring for the children, even if they weren't her own.

Jenny went around asking each of the girls the same question. Most wanted one child, either for the experience or to fulfill their maternal instincts. A few wanted two, and none planned on having more than three. Vera was the lone exception, openly admitting she wanted even more.

The conversations continued in a warm, relaxed atmosphere as everyone enjoyed each other's company. They talked, ate barbecue, even met some of the neighbors, and had an overall pleasant day.

Off in the distance, their Pokémon played together in the shared backyard, completing the picture of a happy family gathering. Jenny's Arcanine, Espeon, and Boltund naturally gravitated toward Alex's Arcanine, Espeon, and Alvera's Boltund. Judging by the proud looks on their faces as they interacted with their descendants, they couldn't have been happier with how strong the next generation had become.

Meanwhile, Joe’s Machamp was having the Pokémon equivalent of a beer with Alex’s Raticate as the pair relaxed and talked about the old days, their battles, struggles, and how much they had grown since then. It was like a gathering of old uncles as Arcanine eventually joined them, and the three watched the gathering of Pokémon and humans with pride.

It wasn't until late in the evening, when the housewarming party finally came to an end, that Alex and the others returned to their base in Kanto. From there, Alvera, Lyra, and Mika were teleported back to Sinnoh near the Grand Underground to resume their journeys, while Lila returned to Johto to continue her own hunt.

Having spent decades exploring the world, Alex never had any trouble finding his family wherever they happened to be. It was one of the perks of having traveled every region so extensively, allowing both Arcanine and Gardevoir to memorize countless teleportation points across the world.

The next day, they returned to preparing for their journey into space to satiate Guzzlord. Progress accelerated considerably with the support of the Mossdeep Space Center, whose involvement handled much of the bureaucratic burden. That allowed Rhea to focus on upgrading the airship, constructing League-approved satellites, and installing systems specifically designed for operations in outer space.

The project proved far more expensive than expected. Many of the tests consumed copious amounts of batteries, while others required vast quantities of energy that had to be constantly replenished. Fortunately, Alaric's bounty finally came through, totaling well over a billion credits. It was enough to fund not only the space expedition but also the construction of new Silver Network bases in Sinnoh and Unova, which Emma and Lily would oversee as the Champions in charge.

Everything progressed smoothly, culminating in the inevitable launch a year later, when Alex, Rhea, and Sable departed for a month-long round trip into space.
