Chapter 782: Chapter 782 - 310: Give Him the Full Show! (2)
He looked a bit dejected, as if he really didn’t want his grandmother to come and supervise him.
Harry knew that Neville’s grandmother, Lady Augusta, was a very strict grandmother.
Moreover, her level of magic spells was also high, not much inferior to Professor McGonagall.
At home, she was very strict with Neville’s discipline, or rather, Neville’s initial timid personality was half suppressed by Lady Augusta.
"Having someone who cares is always a good thing," Harry could only comfort Neville this way, after all, he couldn’t send Lady Augusta away, "Don’t worry, we’ll just try our best to stay out of her sight."
"Alright." Neville said, taking out a few pots of Biting Kale from the wallet Harry had previously given him, "Harry, look, these are all planted by me... not just Biting Kale, I also planted some Devil Vine and some aggressive plants, these things can indeed assist us in battle."
The few pots of Biting Kale grinned, maliciously smiling at their surroundings.
"They seem quite lively." Harry highly affirmed, "If you could cultivate an entire army of Biting Kale, ordinary Dark Wizards wouldn’t be able to defeat you."
"Really?" Neville asked with a grin.
"There are no lousy plants, only wizards who don’t know how to use them." Harry said, spreading his hands.
The people of the Dueling House were basically all present, including Hufflepuff’s Megan and Ravenclaw’s Zhang Qiu who both came to White Island.
In Harry’s view, Megan probably didn’t have that kind of interest in Cedric, at least she and Zhang Qiu were chatting happily, not at all like rivals meeting.
This allowed him to breathe a sigh of relief, given that Hermione had been worried about this matter before.
"Are you a Sirius person?" Vivi asked Zhang Qiu.
"How do you know I’m a Sirius person?" Zhang Qiu asked curiously.
"Because of your appearance and... uh, demeanor." Vivi waved her hand, "If you were Japanese, they focus on the small rather than the big, making the overall temperament seem gloomy; if you were Sirius people, you focus on the big rather than the small, so you appear more sincere."
"And what about Koreans?" Harry interjected from the side.
"Koreans have neither the big nor the small, making the overall temperament seem very agitated." Vivi commented fairly.
Whether this count as discrimination is unknown, but Vivi didn’t see it that way.
"Do you know Sirius as well, Miss Grindelwald?" Zhang Qiu moved to Vivi’s side, "It seems you have a good understanding of Asia?"
"Where are you from?" Vivi spoke in an authentic Beijing dialect.
Harry didn’t understand Chinese, but he could tell that Vivi was asking Zhang Qiu something.
"Holland." Zhang Qiu replied.
"Oh, you’re from Holland?" Vivi switched to authentic Dutch.
"You speak Dutch too?!" Zhang Qiu’s eyes were sparkling, she hadn’t heard an authentic local dialect in a long time.
"I can speak a little." Vivi replied with a smile.
"To know a little more is to have a little more exciting life." Harry chimed in, "By the way, we plan to stay here until the end of August, taking the Knight Bus from White Island to King’s Cross Station, what about you guys?"
"We have no issues." Megan said, raising her hand, "I’ve already told my mom that I want to stay on White Island for a bit longer... she’s very reassured, knowing you’re all here."
"Me too." Seamus said, "My mom had no objections to me coming to White Island, she also feels I indeed need some special training... she saw that news, but she thinks Dumbledore’s concerns might be correct, she doesn’t really believe the Ministry of Magic’s nonsense either."
"Quite unfortunate." Megan sighed, "My mom is skeptical about this, after all, it’s information released by the Ministry of Magic... she also thinks Dumbledore might be too old, but she still insists that, even if Voldemort hasn’t returned, learning some advanced magical applications is still adequate and necessary."
"Seems like your mom is a person of foresight." Harry praised.
"My grandmother trusts Dumbledore." Neville said concisely, "She doesn’t believe anything the Ministry of Magic says, she thinks—well, the Ministry of Magic’s words should be interpreted in the opposite way."
"She’s right, this is the first law of political science." Hermione remarked from the side.
"The first law of political science?" Megan and Zhang Qiu looked at Hermione, not understanding what she meant.
"Oh." Hermione put down her hand, "Only the news officially denied is credible."
In the hearts of Megan and Zhang Qiu, two owls passed by.
Is this some kind of law?
But they didn’t think too deeply, following Harry to the second floor of the hotel.
The wizarding side of the hotel’s second floor had been completely booked by them, and in the side door of the conference room, there was a room like a training field similar to the Room of Requirement.
But then again, after all, it’s not the Room of Requirement, so the training ground appeared rather rudimentary.
"Actually, there aren’t any particularly worth learning spells, what we need to do now is to integrate all our existing spells." Harry gave a simple opening speech, "Find the magic spell that you’re proficient in, and practice it to perfection, this is what we need to do."
"So, what magic spell are we proficient in?" Zhang Qiu raised her hand to ask, as this was her first time participating in the Dueling House.
Last year, due to the Triwizard Tournament, the Dueling House temporarily ceased recruiting newcomers.
And Zhang Qiu only started dating Cedric this year, so Cedric just recently managed to introduce her in.
"That’s a good question." Harry clapped his hands, "However, what magic spell a person is most proficient in, only they themselves can know, no one else can help you with this."
He shifted the topic.
"Perhaps we can give an example, like everyone knows Seamus is particularly good at explosive type spells, even back in first year, using the Floating Spell would cause an explosion... so, we’ve initially determined that Seamus’s expertise is in the explosive system."
"Try it as we anticipated, Seamus—show everyone your latest training results."
The meaning was already very clear.
Seamus, give them something impressive!
Upon hearing this, Seamus raised his magic wand, and a Thunder Explosion shot from the tip of the wand, directly hitting the training dummy not far away.
"Boom!"
An earth-shattering bang, accompanied by a strong flash, the training dummy was blasted into smithereens by Seamus’s spell.
Fortunately, in the magical side of the hotel there were some basic spells set up, so this explosion was completely undetectable outside, avoiding a commotion.
It might not be something as simple as a commotion, if it really alarmed the Muggles, Seamus certainly couldn’t escape responsibility and would be taken back by the Ministry of Magic for a talk.
"Seems like your level of magic spells has improved quite a bit, Seamus." Hermione said enviously from the back.
All this time, Hermione had not been able to find a spell suited to her like the Explosion Spell was to Seamus.
But then again, Hermione was the kind whose level was decent in everything, lacking any particularly outstanding spell, but she knew a little of everything.
It’s just that her practical combat level wasn’t something to be bragged about, even Ron could easily pin her down in a fight.
"Cool!" Zhang Qiu looked at the training dummy turned to dust, unable to help but admire it, "Is this the power of a gifted spell? It really is impressive..."
"Well then." Harry motioned for Seamus to put away his wand, then turned to ask, "Student Zhang, do you have any spell you’re proficient in?"
