Standing on the city wall, the Scorpion Guards stared at the scene before them with wide eyes.

Every one of them stood frozen in place, unable to comprehend the unbelievable battle unfolding beneath them.

"What in the Crazy Three Bloody Moons is happening?" one of the guards asked with a shaky voice.

His spear slowly lowered as his mind struggled to process the impossible sight before him.

They had already braced themselves for a life-and-death battle.

Many had silently prepared themselves to die defending Scorpion City, while some had already said their goodbyes in their hearts before the battle even began.

But now, the situation has turned beyond their imagination.

Looking at the bloody battlefield, the Scorpion Guard Captain sucked in a cold breath.

His eyes repeatedly swept across the battlefield, hoping to discover that everything before him was merely an illusion.

"Is it possible the Horn Lizard Clan went crazy at the last minute?" He whispered in disbelief.

Just like everyone else, he was truly confused.

Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined the Horn Lizard Clan would suddenly turn their weapons against the very humans who happen to be their ally.

The Horn Lizard Clan was the archenemy of his clan, and many times they had tried to attack their city but never got the chance.

And now, when they finally got the chance.

They would rather attack the humans who had seemed to be their allies from the very beginning.

Even though he was not that smart and not that intelligent, he could still tell there was a major plot behind this sudden change.

’Can this be the King’s plan from the beginning?’

When this thought appeared in his heart, it immediately took root.

The more he thought about it.

The more convinced he became.

Without their King orchestrating everything behind the scenes, he couldn’t think of anyone capable of pulling off such an unbelievable counterattack.

His respect for the Scorpion King unconsciously rose to an even greater height.

’Hahaha. I knew it. Our King would never ignore his people.’

The fear on his face vanished and was replaced with relief and excitement.

Now that he thought he knew what was going on, he could finally enjoy the battle without fear.

"Now, let’s see how these damned humans fare against the Horn Lizard soldiers."

He sneered as his gaze shifted toward a woman cutting through the Horn Lizard soldiers as if they were fish on a chopping board.

Every swing of her dual blades harvested lives with frightening precision.

"I knew it! This damned woman is just too scary," he whispered.

His confident smile immediately stiffened the moment he watched Solenne effortlessly kill another powerful Horn Lizard soldier.

Just thinking about facing her in a life-and-death battle sent a cold shiver down his spine.

The memory of his previous defeat instantly resurfaced, making his hands unconsciously tighten around his weapon.

’I hope they kill her quickly.’

Unknown to him, Solenne had become a demon in his heart, and the mere sight of her sent a cold shiver down his spine.

Just then, the Guard Captain saw a massive Level 38 Horn Lizard man charging toward Solenne.

The towering warrior pushed through the battlefield with unstoppable momentum, his enormous weapon raised high above his head.

"Hahaha! Now, she is going to be killed." His face was filled with anticipation.

The humiliation he had suffered at Solenne’s hands made him eager to see her killed.

On the battlefield, Solenne had already detected the incoming massive Level 38 Horn Lizard soldier.

But she was locked in a deadly battle with two Level 36 Horn Lizard soldiers. Their relentless attacks left her with little room to breathe.

Even then, she was not too worried.

On both sides, the Horn Lizard soldiers launched a barrage of fierce attacks while using their tails for deadly sneak attacks.

Suddenly, her speed rose another level, and she vanished from her spot, leaving a crimson trail behind.

Her figure blurred into countless afterimages before disappearing completely from the Horn Lizard soldiers’ sight.

"...Where is..."

Before one of the Horn Lizard soldiers could react, she appeared before him with her twin blades going in for the kill.

One aimed for the throat.

One aimed for the waist.

The Horn Lizard soldier scrambled to defend the attack aimed at his neck, raising his sword with all his strength.

But to his shock, his blade was cut through, and the first blade pierced his neck.

The sharp edge continued forward without losing momentum, slicing cleanly through flesh and bone.

As for the second blade.

It cut through his waist, severing his body into two.

His upper body slowly slid away from his lower half before both crashed heavily onto the blood-soaked desert.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye. Before the second Level 36 Horn Lizard soldier could react, she was already gone.

Whoosh!

Seeing this, the Level 36 Horn Lizard Soldier was stunned and broke out in a cold sweat.

His serpentine eyes wandered around frantically, trying to locate the terrifying human woman before it was too late.

Danger!

Just then, his bestial instincts screamed of the impending danger.

Every scale on his body instinctively tightened as death rapidly approached from behind.

Without turning back, he swung his tail in a desperate counterattack.

But he was wrong.

"Ahhhh!"

Solenne’s left blade met the tail head-on, cutting it into two with frightening ease, while her right blade struck the Horn Lizard soldier across the back.

The razor-sharp blade tore through his scales, flesh, and muscles without the slightest resistance.

Crashing to the ground, a ghastly wound appeared across his back with all his bones visible.

Blood continuously poured from the horrifying injury as his body convulsed violently against the sand.

Just as she wanted to finish him off.

The massive Level 38 Horn Lizard soldier arrived, swinging his enormous scythe. Watching the deadly scythe strike, Solenne was not scared and her pulse did not quicken.

But she did what she knew how to do well.
