If anyone were to know who was standing before the Horn Lizard King, they would be shocked to their very core.

Both humans and Beastmen.

Everyone believed the Horn Lizard Clan and the Scorpion Clan were archenemies who could never stand face to face without drawing blood.

Their hatred had lasted for generations, and countless battles had been fought between the two mighty clans across the Bleeding Desert.

But here they were.

Standing before the Horn Lizard King was the Scorpion Clan King.

From the rumors, what was expected was for the Horn Lizard King to rush forward and fight the Scorpion Clan King to the death the moment they met.

But no, he merely sat upon his throne and asked.

"Why are you here?"

This alone contradicted everything the rumors said. If anyone had witnessed this scene, they would never believe their own eyes.

Yet, the Scorpion Clan King seemed not to be surprised by the Horn Lizard King’s question.

His calm expression remained unchanged, as though he had long anticipated this conversation.

Slowly, the horrifying pressure inside the hall began to dissipate.

The violent collision between the two invisible auras gradually weakened, allowing the trembling hall to return to its eerie silence.

The Scorpion Clan King’s stinger swayed gently, and its deadly sharp tip gleamed with frightening poison even in the darkness.

"You already know why I am here," the Scorpion King’s deep voice echoed inside the hall.

Every word carried the dignity of a ruler.

"I won’t know if you don’t tell me..."

"Do you really want to go against my clan? You must know your little clan cannot bear the cost." His voice remained calm, yet every word carried an unmistakable threat.

"So I advise you to call back your army." The Scorpion King was domineering, not acting as if he were in the presence of the Horn Lizard King.

His confidence never wavered despite standing inside his archenemy territory.

He folded his massive arms across his chest, his sharp claws gleaming brightly. His towering figure remained perfectly still, radiating overwhelming confidence.

"Even though you’re not wise and weaker than me, you should have realized the weak humans are trying to use you," he continued with the same arrogant tone.

His eyes revealed nothing but contempt whenever the word "human" left his mouth.

"If we both fall out, then what will become of our clans’ future? You don’t need me to tell you. Do you?"

"Humans would reign over our land. They would take our descendants as slaves and slaughter our kin for food." Every sentence was spoken with absolute certainty rather than trying to persuade his enemy.

"Is that what you want?" His eyes locked onto the Horn Lizard King’s unwavering gaze.

Listening to the Scorpion King’s words, the Horn Lizard King did not have any change in his expression for a moment.

His calm gaze remained fixed on the Scorpion King, showing neither anger nor the slightest ripple of emotion.

And then, a deep chuckle escaped from his mouth.

His serpentine tongue flickered with amusement as a mocking smile slowly appeared on his face.

"For you to say so much just to convince me. This alone proves the humans were right."

He had known the Scorpion King for over a century.

How could he not know how prideful and domineering he was?

Throughout those long years, he had witnessed the Scorpion King’s arrogance countless times.

If his mighty army were still available and his mighty General had not fallen, he would not have hesitated to retaliate fiercely, destroy his army, and march down to his town to take it over.

He was fierce and unreasonable.

Any race that didn’t belong to the Scorpion Clan must be subdued and taken as slaves. That had always been the Scorpion King’s way of ruling the Bleeding Desert.

Why were there only five Carapace Clans?

The Scorpion Clan had eradicated every one of them under the orders of the King standing before him.

If not for his strength, his Horn Lizard Clan would have become part of history.

And now, such a bloodthirsty King dared lecture him about the fate of the Beastmen race and what would become of their clans.

Laughable.

"If you’re here to play such useless tricks before this King, you can leave." The Horn Lizard King waved his arm with a sneer plastered across his face.

Watching how calm the Horn Lizard King was, the Scorpion King creased his brow into a frown.

The confidence he had maintained since entering the hall finally showed the slightest crack.

’How is this possible?’

’Am I missing something?’

Doubt crept into his mind.

This was not the first time he had dealt with the Horn Lizard King, and every time, the little lizard had cowered in fear and retreated with his head bowed.

Never once had he dared oppose him so openly.

Even with his rising strength, he did not take him seriously.

Before the might of the Scorpion bloodline, what was a mere little lizard?

In his eyes, the Horn Lizard King had always been nothing more than a slightly troublesome bigger lizard.

That’s all.

But now, watching the little lizard disregard his warning, he couldn’t help but become curious.

"Are you sure you want to fall out with my Scorpion Clan?" he asked, his voice deathly cold.

Instantly, the previous calm atmosphere was shattered, and a horrifying mountain of pressure descended upon the hall.

The invisible force crashed downward like an avalanche, causing the entire hall to tremble violently.

Cracks appeared on the walls and across the ground.

Stone fragments continuously fell from the ceiling as the terrifying pressure spread through every corner of the hall.

Torches fell from the walls.

Their flames were instantly extinguished as they crashed onto the stone floor, leaving the hall even darker than before.

But under such a terrifying atmosphere, the Horn Lizard King sat calmly.

His body remained completely motionless upon the throne, as though the overwhelming pressure pressing against him simply did not exist.

"Is this all you’ve got?"
