The village was in an uproar. When the great river king had shown itself after decades of inactivity, obviously even the faraway village had seen this with how large this monster was.

After this, as the residents were starting to panic, suddenly this massive monster was cut in half. As it was quite far away, the people had hard time seeing what had actually happened. But a few people with good and very keen eyesight had noticed this super strong monster getting bisected with their own eyes.

So quickly, the villagers got together and held a discussion. During this, they found out that five children from the village were missing.

Then by interrogating another child who was friends with the missing ones and had not went to play with them today because he needed to help his mother out, the leaders of the village found out that these naughty children were actually going to the riverside to play with a ridiculous excuse.

As soon as this truth came to life, some of the people with keen eyesight told everyone that they had seen the monster holding something with its tentacles. But whatever it was holding were so small that even they were not sure about what it could be.

Even though no one said it directly, what this statement implied was very clear. It was most likely the children who were responsible for awakening this monster and in that case, they should be in lot of danger at this moment.

As soon as the family members of the missing children realised this, they all started to cry and break down. A few brave members were actually ready to immediately head out and check on them.

The chief of the village quickly stopped them. Then as they were about to pretest, he gave his orders and made a team consisting of the strongest people that this village had to offer. So it would be them who would go to the river bank to check the situation there.

After about 10 minutes, the team finally managed to reach their destination. They were expecting to see something gruesome like the dead body of a child but instead what they saw was all five of the children having a picnic and laughing joyously.

Seeing their uncles and aunts, the children even waved their hands at them and asked to them to join in the fun. But how could they just accept the current situation without any questions ?

So instead of listening to the children, the leader of this team and the head of the security for this village, Graham, looked at the only adult present here from before their arrival.

This person was a beauty of insane standard. Their village was well known from having a lot of beauties and Graham had even been to the city and had never seen someone as good looking as this lady here.

So unconsciously, his speech while talking with her became very polite even though he was quite famous for being inconsiderate smd loud mouthed brute. As for what he asked to the lady, it was obviously about what had happened here.

Elena already had a plan ready to handle the situation. She was already well aware of the local customs and such, so she would have no trouble blending in with the people here.

She introduced herself as a wondering elf sword magus who was travelling the world for training. As soon as the people heard this, their eyes immediately lit up and now, no one had any doubts about her being able to kill this large monster.

"Magus" was just such a convincing word. As soon as Elena mentioned that, people would start to believe all her stories no matter how unbelievable it was.

The humanoid races of this universe had several systems of power. But about a few millions years ago, the great Magi King had reached the rank of 11, becoming the one and only Supreme Overlord of the humanoid race.

After this, the path of a magus had became the mainstream and all the other paths had became minor arts.

So in order to survive, those minor arts had started to merge with the magus path. This way, after some time, the path of the magus had became a very varied and also the absolute main system for the mega world of Sora.

That was the reason why when any inhabitants of this world heard about a magus, they would immediately become respectful and would look up to them.

Elena took advantage of this fame and managed to easily get the trust of the villagers. And the children were extremely fond of her from the very beginning for saving their life. So Elena was done with her first plan quite easily.

After this, she was welcomed to the village with the family members of the children thanking her again and again while all the other Villagers were looking at her with respect, adoration, love and lust. All of these things were very positive feelings.

So when Elena had shown her interest in staying in the village for some time and training the children here, she was welcomed with so much enthusiam that it was insane. Specially for a village like this which was not very fond of outsiders.

All the villagers were extremely happy with her staying here and they immediately started to make a plan about building her the best house possible in order to show her some gratitude that way.

The children were also extremely happy with the possibility of learning from such a powerful lady. This was definitely a dream come true for them.

So just like this, Elena was able to became a part of this village on her very first day of coming here. On that same night, the future hero candidate Shin came to thank her in person after the party was over.

Shin deeply bowed his head to Elena and gave his thanks in a chocking voice. In reply, Elena patted his head which made him to feel a little bit relaxed.

After that, Shin gathered all his courage and asked Elena a question. As a young child, he was definitely not someone with a very mature mind but still, Shin showed impressive determination when he asked the question.

"Big sister, can I ever become as strong as you ?"

To this question, Elena’s answer was a very firm "Yes" with a nod of her head. Seeing this, Shin became even more determined and asked Elena to train him as hard as she could.

Elena was happy to see this development. It was good that Shin was able to master up his determination even without the death of his friends and childhood sweetheart.

If Elena had not intervened in this situation, then Shin would have to see all his friends getting eaten alive. Then the villagers would have rescued him and for the rest of his childhood, he would have trained like crazy to avenge his friends and to kill the great river king. This was how his journey should have naturally begun.

But now with Elena here, it was taking a completely different turn. So would it be better for his strength in the future or worse ?
