"Yo." Grey spun a hammer in one hand and pointed the head of the other at Monai’s. "I didn’t know they made your kind with tits. And here I thought you just made little rock monsters by banging hard enough and picking up the pebbles."

Monai’s eyes flashed with fury, but she almost instantly forced herself to calm down.

As quickly as she reacted, though, Grey still saw it and the grin on his face became sly.

"No need to get so angry. Where would that get you? Tell me, though, I’m curious. Back on Earth, our women brag about how wet and tight they are.

"What do your women say? ’Oo, baby, I’m as rough as sandpaper just for you. Oo, daddy, fuck me just like that, I’m about to erode’?"

Something inside of Monai snapped and her fury blazed in her eyes.

"Oop, I think I struck a nerve."

Monai roared, a pair of black great swords appearing in her hands. She alone stood at over three meters tall, and each of the swords was at least that long.

She loomed in a towering presence and the instant she took a step forward, the three Dormaji behind her formed a link of energy with her. It almost looked as though they had been linked by a chain of magma.

The trio froze, but Monai’s power seemed to skyrocket, her fury burning in her eyes.

The magma descended down the cracks and crevices in her rough, rocky skin. The shimmering polish of them shining so brightly it almost looked like obsidian in the dim light.

Grey’s laughter peeled across the skies.

He wasn’t just going to kill these people.

He was going to humiliate them, anger them to death...

And then kill them.

BOOM.

He moved.

Monai swiped down from above, her great sword falling with the momentum of a meteor.

Grey felt like...

It was slow.

He side-stepped to one side, but his gaze instantly flickered. Beneath him, a roaring tide of magma was forming beneath the surface. The moment his foot touched down, he would lose a leg.

His perception of everything slowed to a crawl. He caught sight of the leering cleverness in Monai’s eyes. She wasn’t actually enraged to the point of losing her mind, she was trying to bait him.

’Women really are scary. It might have been kinda sexy too if you weren’t, you know... made of rock.’

Grey grinned.

A magnetic field appeared beneath Grey’s feet, and just when it looked like he was about to step down and be swallowed down to his ankle in the small, controlled puddle, he used all the fluctuating, wild ions with it to instead propel him forward faster than ever before.

"Thanks, bitch."

Monai’s eyes widened.

BOOM.

Grey’s hammers descended from above, smashing her head into a meaty paste.

"PRINCESS!"

The three Dormaji roared.

"Princess?" Grey blinked as he landed as light as a swallow. "Now, you tell me. Is she actually a princess? Or is this some weird, reverse harem, perverted kink shit? You three been fucking her?"

The only response he received in kind was a furious rage.

...

[Champion "Monai" has been slayed by Champion "Udon’s Daddy"]

[Champion "Blurk" has been slayed by Champion "Udon’s Daddy"]

[Champion "Chanik" has been slayed by Champion "Udon’s Daddy"]

[Champion "Worp" has been slayed by Champion "Udon’s Daddy"]

A string of notifications just came one after another. It didn’t even stop there. Grey was on a complete rampage.

He wasn’t trapped there with them, they were trapped inside with him.

The female Syrn couldn’t help but look up as the notifications continued to stream in. She stood over a corpse, blood running down her chin as she ate through some tough, meaty flesh. But she wasn’t even paying close attention to the one writhing on the ground, close to the verge of death, but not quite there.

’It seems that... he is actually quite strong...’

She had heard of Monai. She was the third strongest of the Dormaji that had come today, and she was exceptional. Not as strong as Duko who had managed to survive a clash with the Volthari, but strong nonetheless.

But she had died barely a few moments after the first notification of a dead Syrn rang out.

Grey wasn’t just cutting them down, he was doing so with impossible speed.

Bexanca licked her lips, her forked tongue flicking the blood into an airborne droplet before she caught it and let it roll into her mouth.

’Now this... is interesting...’

She looked down at the soon-to-be corpse in front of her. Her tail flicked out and slit their throat.

[Champion "Berchix" has been slayed by "Charming Viper"]

"Charming Viper" walked away.

Left behind her was the corpse of another Syrn. Her own kind.

**

Duko didn’t seem to see the other notifications at all. All he could see was Monai’s name.

He read it over and over again as though he couldn’t fathom that it was true. Maybe if he read it one more time the names would reverse and it would read that she was the one that had slayed Grey instead.

But no matter how many times he tried, no matter how many times he looked.

The notification remained the exact same.

Unmoving. Unchanging.

Every time he read it, the same name replayed.

Duko stood in silence and finally, at some point, he closed his eyes.

He had never told her the truth. Their Race was very lopsided on the gender spectrum, and only the best of men would have a woman.

Duko was of the strongest who had come, but Monai was too strong compared to the other women of their tribe. A much higher ranked male would have more than likely earned her hand.

So he hadn’t said anything about how he felt.

A huge part of the reason he had come here was to one, protect her, and two, to grow stronger. In fact, that was the only reason he had fought the Volthari in the first place.

He had believed that was the only existence that could threaten her in this place, and him holding his own had made it so that it was more hesitant in attacking.

That was probably the only reason so many of them were still alive now.

And now... Monai was gone.

Duko’s head tilted up, and he roared.

Black diamond spikes erupted out of the ground around him.

BOOM.

Grey landed nearby as though he had heard the war as a call for help.

A grin was plastered on his face.

"You seem quite mad."
