Chapter 1947: Chapter 1947: A Different Perspective (III)

Visitors once more passed through Thunder Region. The Human King and others outside swiftly convened with Li Hao.

“Long Zhan can certainly hold it in!” remarked a confused Human King. “If it was me, I’d start swinging first no matter what I would lose. But he could keep it to himself even after we slapped his face like this!”

The Dragon master was quite a character!

Li Hao nodded and furrowed his brows to look behind them. “He really knows how to bide his time,” the young man said softly. “I suspect... that he’s scheming after Skyward.”

“Of course he is!” The Human King was speechless. Wasn’t that a given?

“Not Skyward dao universe, but... the Skyward master!” Li Hao explained.

The Human King blinked and took a second before he could say, “Surely not? The Skyward master is at least a premier ninth rank, whereas the Dragon master is just an eighth rank. I admit that he’s somewhat stronger than me, but there’s a limit to his abilities...”

How was the Dragon master that bold?

“Those that set off with the Skyward master are probably all still alive,” Li Hao theorized after some thought. “But they will not return that easily. There is probably a large energy reserve in the world that we have yet to locate.

“There’s also possibly a second dao universe or even world to Skyward. Long Zhan might have come to some preliminary conclusions, and I suspect...”

Li Hao paused, then said, “I suspect that when Skyward revitalizes, the Skyward master will either send his will back or borrow the heavenly will, or a dao master’s strength in another dao universe, to create a ninth rank body. It could also be close to ninth rank. Whichever it is, that will be what the Skyward master uses in his return!”

The sovereign raised an eyebrow and looked hastily at Li Hao. “What makes you think that?” he rumbled.

“Apart from the world master, the strongest in Skyward back in the day were eighth ranks such as the light and dark envoys,” explained Li Hao. “Given current day situations, eighth ranks will not be weak when they return. But... what can a simple eighth rank change? Is there a point to their presence?

“The Skyward master has been keeping an eye on us all along. Since he knows what is going on, will more eighth ranks be useful if they do not have overlord level strength?

“Therefore, I think that if they are to return, they will show up on the level of overlords or be at least eighth rank with more than seven thousand daos!

“If not other eighth ranks, then they will be replicas of the Skyward master, dao bodies, or his will. Whatever it may be, it is in the other dao universe. Sadly, I’ve yet to locate it in all this time. If I made a move once I did, that might result in a thunderous blow at me!

“Long Zhan might have seen something, which is why he’s laying these plans!” Li Hao gave his final conclusion.

The supreme listened to the young man’s speculations with a shifting gaze in his eyes. He had limited knowledge of Skyward, whereas Li Hao knew more. When the latter silenced Skyward, he’d seen with his own eyes and made his own calculations. He knew that there were at least one hundred billion dao crystals missing!

That was sufficient to power the reawakening of many powerhouses. But where were those dao crystals?

Skyward was the preeminent powerhouse of space, yet he hadn’t left behind anything having to do with spatial dao other than the dao chess. However, the dao chess was only a treasure primarily geared toward comprehending dao.

Had the Skyward master really not left anything else behind?

There were only so many schemes that one person could come up with. Supreme Zhang was another person accustomed to laying plans, so Li Hao mentioned his thoughts to the man.

As the supreme mulled over these ideas, the young man transmitted, “Ah, yes, there is a passageway that runs throughout the four regions. No, I should say that it runs throughout the entire chaos. It might be a passageway of space!”

The look in the supreme’s eyes shifted!

Countless notions and derivations populated his mind. A passageway! Transportation! The Skyward master!

He, too, frowned at this moment. What were those ninth ranks up to?

The Skyward master had gone to great pains to empty the world, but left behind an obscure passageway and dao universe for their return. Supreme Zhang couldn’t immediately get a handle on the other’s intentions either.

He knew that the Skyward master was alive, that was certain.

“Don’t let anyone else know about this for now,” he transmitted back to Li Hao. “It should be a deeply hidden secret that no one else has discovered yet. I’ll investigate it first. Of course, I might not find anything, but I’ll let you know if I do!

“Don’t tell Fang Ping either. That guy’s too curious for his own good. He might run his own investigation if he found out. If he does... we’ll be in trouble.

“We don’t know much about the premier ninth rank that is the Skyward master. But I do know that War might have traveled to Skyward back in the day. He must have used old methods to reach that world.

“They might have had a conversation, but New Martial was sealed away after that until we reached seventh rank. It’s been one million years since Skyward vanished!

“So that begs the question, who was War on guard against? There are countless worlds in the four regions and New Martial is not weak either. In that case, how was the enemy?

“Red Moon? Did War know that Red Moon would become a threat to New Martial after he journeyed through the future? There was also a barrier of darkness around New Martial back in the day, whereas the passageway led straight to the outer regions, bypassing Thunder Region.

“That seems... to indicate that they wished for us to leave after we emerged in the chaos. They didn’t want us to stay in Skyward. But that passageway disappeared after Silver Moon separated from us!

“Where is the dark passageway that we saw? Why did it disappear later on? Or does it directly connect to the passage of space that you saw? The War Sovereign borrowed a chicken to lay an egg and connected New Martial to that passageway...”

That would ensure that they could walk another person’s path.

As for the War Sovereign himself, he seemed to have stayed in New Martial all this time. He naturally didn’t have the ability to craft such a passageway through the Thunder Region. He was only a sixth rank.

Li Hao raised a brow. What the supreme was proposing really was possible. Could the passageway that appeared outside New Martial that year be the one he’d just discovered?

Then... it must have something to do with time.

Perhaps the star of time could connect to this hidden passageway.

Its departure was likely what caused New Martial to lose the tunnel.

“If I recall correctly, there were other worlds near New Martial,” Li Hao suddenly transmitted back. “When Senior Human King eliminated the Heavenly Emperor, his younger sister, the Sword Sovereign, and others traveled to another world! Logically speaking, this world should be near New Martial and even within range of the passageway. ...right?”

“Correct!” The supreme smiled.

Li Hao frowned at the answer. That wasn’t right! If New Martial had been sealed away, why had there been other worlds near it?

“Was there anything special about this world? I heard Senior Zhang An mention it once that it’s only a minor world close to mid world. It doesn't seem particularly impressive. Did they leave after sending off the Sword Sovereign’s party because they were concerned about the Human King invading them?”

The Human King had even seemed to visit in person once! But he’d run off again, after which there was no further news about this world.

Li Hao hadn’t paid much attention to it all along because it was said that this world was very weak. Gone was gone. But now that he thought about it, that was quite an inappropriate reaction. Where had it come from if New Martial had been sealed away?

How had it left without the aid of chaos beasts?

Apparently it’d departed before Silver Moon was born. But the passageway vanished only after Silver Moon came to be. One was easily lost within the blink of an eye if they ventured into the chaos themselves!

Li Hao stared off into space as he turned over these thoughts. Could there be problems with this other world?

Meanwhile, Supreme Zhang had clearly considered the same things long ago. He was one of the leaders of New Martial, after all, and naturally cared more about these jarring details than Li Hao.

“We hadn’t fully understood it before we left the chaos,” he transmitted. “It was only after we emerged that we learned how complicated everything was! We looked for that vanished world, but never obtained information about it.

“It didn’t give us trouble. On the contrary, it even once saved Li Changsheng and the others in a critical moment! We owe a debt of gratitude to it. It stayed very close to us the entire time, possibly even surveilling or protecting New Martial? I’ve been chasing after it since then, but haven’t found any clues either...

“In addition, that world’s dao was rather unique. In our words, it was the dao of magic! They could utilize all sorts of magic and techniques, summoning and dismissing the great dao as they wished. They wielded it very easily.”

Li Hao blinked.

Easily?

There was nothing easy about chaos dao. All of it was complicated and intermingled. It would have to be organized and orderly for it to be easy to use. Li Hao paused!

An orderly dao...

He hadn’t understood it before, but now possessed some notion of it.

“Supreme Zhang, do you think there’s a possibility... that this world... does not exist in our reality?”

“Hmm?”

“I mean that is it possible for this world to exist in another plane like Number Two once had. It was affected by the star of time, which threw space and time into disarray and materialized it near New Martial!

“You guys couldn’t find it later on not because they’d hidden themselves, but because they’d really disappeared and returned to their original reality!”

The supreme’s expression shifted and he stared at Li Hao.

“How is that possible... there were only a few lifeforms in the illusory plane that the War Sovereign created, but that was a real world. Unless... someone mastered time in the future? And with the intersection of time... and it being on the same origin as the current star of time... Can it be... you?”

His jaw dropped as he looked at the young man. Was it Silver Moon?

But that’s not right, I would recognize the world if it was Silver Moon!

Li Hao shook his head. It wasn’t him, absolutely not. He did have another speculation in mind, however. Could it be the person that he’d seen in the river?

I have the star of time with me, but I wanted to give it up before. I might not hold it for too long!

That person had said that he’d conquered the chaos! In that case, could he possibly have followed War’s dao that was left in the star of time? Or perhaps even added something special to it, and then connected to New Martial because he wanted to leave his chaos?

If there was confusion in space and time, and if that person reversed time... Would this be the outcome?

If that’s the case, then things are really interesting.

Li Hao’s head hurt. What was more interesting was that Silver Moon had voluntarily separated from New Martial when the Human King was in closed door cultivation. Silver Moon’s core was the star of time.

Would the star run off by itself?

Or was it connected to that world because that person knew that the star of time ultimately wouldn’t stay in New Martial? And that was because he’d once seen Li Hao?

The more the young man considered this, the more fanciful things became. Was this even possible?
