Later, Sunan dismantled the entire Fallen Star City, and the materials from the dismantling are now lying in the warehouse, ready to be used for building the Floating City.

However, compared to the Floating City, Fallen Star City is somewhat smaller in scale.

The materials obtained from the breakdown can only make up a small part, leaving a significant gap.

In addition to basic materials like enchanted steel and stone, constructing the Floating City also requires a large amount of rare metals, crystals, and other rare materials.

For instance, the amount of mithril needed is truly astonishing.

Facilities like the Floating Ring, anti-gravity devices, and Elemental Drive Devices all require mithril.

Even with a rough calculation, the mithril production on Starlight Continent over a hundred years is far from sufficient.

Quickly browsing through the list to ensure nothing was missed, Sunan issued the order to collect resources, and then proceeded to the top floor of the Wizard Tower.

"Number 1, bring up the Floating City design blueprint."

[Command Received.]

A flash of light appeared before his eyes, and a three-dimensional model slowly emerged and took shape.

It was the Floating City structural diagram that Sunan spent several months designing.

Like the Wizard Tower, the structure of the Floating City can roughly be divided into three parts: energy supply, space planning, and combat apparatus.

The energy supply section can be further divided into the Elemental Melting Furnace, Energy Transmission Network, and floating devices.

The Elemental Melting Furnace needs no further explanation; it is one of the core facilities of the entire Floating City, and it serves as the lifeline of the Floating City, providing energy for daily operations and combat expenditures.

The Elemental Melting Furnace is typically situated at the very center of the Floating City, alongside the Central Crystal.

As for the Energy Transmission Network, it can be regarded as a massive-scale Crystal Trace.

Utilizing white marble, a broad energy transmission pipeline is laid across the entire Floating City—including the foundation and surface buildings—creating an immense transmission network, allowing the energy output of the Elemental Melting Furnace to instantly reach any corner of the Floating City.

This is the function of the Energy Transmission Network!

Even just from the literal description, one can see that this is a grand engineering project.

The final floating devices are intended to enable the Floating City to float and fly.

Similar to the Floating Ring of the Wizard Tower, yet on a larger scale, it is much more complex, composed of over a hundred Floating Rings and numerous anti-gravity devices.

The second part of the Floating City, space planning, is roughly similar to the Wizard Tower, but with the number and scale of facilities greatly escalated by several notches.

Additionally, some new facilities will be added.

For example, Eco-Parks, Central Plaza, Central Tower, Floating Tower dock, and Demon-Banning Prison.

Among these, Eco-Parks resemble super-large breeding grounds like the Dragon Forest.

Generally, a Floating City establishes three to five Eco-Parks for nurturing different types of magic creatures or preserving rare species.

The Central Plaza serves as a large leisure area while also functioning as a Teleportation Plaza, equipped with numerous external teleport gates.

Wizards coming in and out of the Floating City typically use the teleport gates at the Central Plaza.

The Central Tower is where the Central Crystal is located, and usually, the Elemental Melting Furnace is built inside the Central Tower; it is the core hub of the Floating City.

The Floating Tower dock is, as the name implies, a place for Floating Towers to dock ready for action.

Whereas Floating Towers are auxiliary warfare constructs of the Floating City, akin to combat aircraft on an aircraft carrier.

The Demon-Banning Prison, as the name suggests, is a place for detainment.

Virtually every Floating City has its own Demon-Banning Prison, where numerous powerful magic creatures and hostile wizards are held captive!

These captives are often used as experimental materials.

Overall, the facilities of the Floating City are larger and more complete compared to the Wizard Tower.

There are more functional buildings.

Even wizards who have their Wizard Tower prefer residing in the Floating City for cultivation and experiments.

The final part of the Floating City, the combat apparatus, generally consists of three parts.

The first part is the Golem Legion.

Usually, the number of Golem Legions within a Floating City is sizeable, typically not less than a hundred thousand.

Furthermore, at least of Legendary Level.

Clay Golems, Stone Golems, and Flesh Golems cannot even enter the combat sequence of the Floating City.

They are mostly used as cheap labor.

Within the Floating City, even powerful Wizard Level puppets such as Shadow Steel Golems and Vajra Golems are only considered Middle Level in the combat sequence.

Supreme Golems are typically categorized as High-Level combat sequence.

Beyond that, there is the final combat sequence of the Floating City, usually only Arcane Guards, Magic Energy Mech, Secret Silver Sages, and other Legendary Mechanical Life can participate.

These types of Legendary Mechanical Life generally possess combat power higher than a typical Level 3 Crystalization Wizard, almost akin to those who have mastered rules but are yet to condense True Spirit, slightly inferior to Divine Body Golems, typically used to confront Divine Spirits.

As such, these advanced alchemical constructs are exceedingly expensive, limited in scale.

A typical Floating City only houses a small number of Legendary Mechanical Life.

Only when facing a particularly powerful enemy does the Floating City initiate the final combat sequence, deploying Legendary Mechanical Life.

As for which type of Legendary Mechanical Life to choose for the Floating City’s combat sequence, Sunan has some ideas, but it requires further research to finalize.

The second part of the combat apparatus is the [Super-Large Energy Protection Barrier] and [Maze Lock Defense System].

The former is similar to the Maze Lock Protective Energy Field of the Wizard Tower, just larger in scale and stronger in defense.

The latter is a large-scale attack-defensive integrated device.

Maze Lock can be considered one of the greatest masterpieces of wizards, traditionally the ultimate means for wizards to defend against enemies.

To put it in the simplest terms, Maze Lock is a super-large Spell Matrix System, integrating attack, defense, strategic striking, and more capabilities into one.

Though early Maze Locks were primarily focused on defense, lower versions of the Maze Lock Protective Energy Field were researched as defensive apparatuses for Wizard Towers.

Later on, during prolonged wars with Divine Spirits, driven by the pursuit of stronger defense, wizards gradually researched the Maze Lock Defense System.

As one of the highest achievements of Wizard Civilization, Maze Lock is the only defense system capable of withstanding a full-strength strike from a Great Divine Spirit (Level Seven).

The third part of the Floating City is long-range striking methods, including various Spell Towers, Plasma Cannons, and Pulse Cannons.

However, these artillery pieces are just standard long-range striking methods in the Floating City.

The true firepower trump card of the Floating City is the strategic ultra-long-range striking method, most representative is the Magic Energy Crystal Superconducting Pulse Cannon.

The Magic Energy Crystal Superconducting Pulse Cannon is a type of Phase Weapon, scientifically referred to as Elemental Particle Beam Directed Energy Strategic Weapon.

This weapon is immensely powerful, possessing extremely high firing speed and accuracy, crafted with Divine Spirits as hypothetical opponents; it is a strategic weapon.

A single shot can heavily damage a lesser Divine Spirit!

The only flaw is the immense energy supply required for this type of strategic weapon.

Besides a Floating City with the Elemental Melting Furnace as the energy core, hardly any True Spirit Wizard can independently sustain the energy consumption of such weapons.

Previously in the Blood Abyss, Sunan personally witnessed the Star Spirit Bell Tower using the Magic Energy Crystal Superconducting Pulse Cannon, long aware of the astounding destructive power of this strategic weapon.

He decided to equip his own Floating City with the Magic Energy Crystal Superconducting Pulse Cannon.

Aside from the energy supply, space planning, and combat apparatus, there’s another crucial element.

That is the Tower Spirit Commander!

The Wizard Tower, being smaller, can employ the Tower Spirit to oversee its integrated operations.

Yet, for the larger, more complex Floating City, the computational ability of the Tower Spirit falls short; hence, a more advanced Tower Spirit Commander must be used as the intellect core overseeing the Floating City’s operations.

The Tower Spirit Commander is also a type of Legendary Mechanical Life, possessing far superior operational capacity than ordinary Tower Spirits, responsible for the integrated operations of the Floating City, encompassing terminal computation, data recording, combat command, experimental assistance, etc., capable in its strongest state of directly scanning and analyzing data within a radius of hundreds of kilometers.

If supplied with Floating City’s energy, it can complete the basic surface scanning of a realm comparable to Starlight Continent in roughly ten to fifteen days.

Staring at the panoramic model of the Floating City before him, Sunan let out a long breath.

To build a city for ordinary humans from scratch takes at least half a year at the fastest, let alone a magic city capable of confronting a Divine Kingdom head-on.

Moreover, he isn’t only content with constructing a standard Floating City; many facilities will certainly need strengthening.

Under these circumstances, the time required to build the Floating City is bound to increase significantly.

"The road ahead is long and fraught."
