He only needed to add more rules and rearrange them into the Rewind Metac to upgrade them. He already had Supreme Mastery of the Time Path, so this wasn’t difficult for him to do at all.

The spark of power didn’t perform the upgrade automatically. He did it himself. But the spark of power didn’t make the upgrade easier for him because it granted him perfect control of his power.

After he upgrading the Rewind Metac, he began to pay attention to the rejection of the world around him. The rejection wasn’t as strong as it was in the previous timeline, but it was still there.

The rejection of the world was also pushing him towards a particular direction. He couldn’t tell what that direction was when he was in the River of Death. But once he reached the surface of the black river and left it, he realized that the rejection of the world was pushing him towards the third dimension.

This made him scratch his chin and say, "I think I know where it wants me to go. But let’s not jump to conclusions yet."

He let the rejection of the world push him into the third dimension. This was to see where exactly the world wanted him to go.

But when he saw that the world wanted him to enter the third heaven, his curiosity shriveled and died within him. The phrasing of how curiosity killed a particular cat went through his mind and made him give up on any suicidal curiosity.

He shook his head vehemently as he thought, ’They couldn’t stop me from reversing time before. But I was here in the sea of worlds, and there was a large barrier between us that protected me.’

’Odds are that the Dao Lords are also in the third heaven. Who is to say I will be able to get away from them when we’re face to face? Even the previous lord of time, Time Traveler, could only barely survive from them, and he had to pretend to be dead to manage this.’

’At the very least, I must ensure that I have a solid 50% chance rofl survival from them before I dare to enter that place. I should also try to get more information about the third Heaven before venturing into it.’

In his mind, he went on to list other things he had to do or secure before entering an unknown place full of danger where he isn’t sure he would be able to return from if he entered. After all, Dao Lords also seem unable to enter the Sea of Worlds from the third heaven.

He didn’t know what the Dao Lords do in the third heaven, but he knew that they wouldn’t like to see him. So he was sure that he didn’t want to be trapped in the third heaven with them.

While he was thinking about the things he needed to do, he remembered something that made his eyes glow with the light of an idea. As for whether the idea was a good one, it was yet to be seen.

But he was excited for this idea, so he didn’t dismiss it outright. Instead, he gave it a lot of thought to determine its feasibility.

As he was thinking, he thought to himself, ’It really is an efficient idea. Since I want to test my survivability against Dao Lords and get information about the third heaven, I should go and meet Golden Sun again.’

’If I go to meet Golden Sun, he would most likely make a fuss about it. This would alert the Dao Lords for sure. When the Dao Lords appear, I can test the efficacy of the Time Loop Metac."

The more he spoke, the brighter his eyes became.

’With this idea, I can try out the power of my external body and test the Time Loop Metac. Even if I fail to get Golden Sun, I’ll still gain useful information about the external body and my latest Supreme Metac.’

Perhaps the best motivation for this plan is that he believed that nothing too bad could happen. He believed this because he had been able to escape from the Dao Lords before.

With the Rewind Metac on hand, one in the Devouring Supreme Metac, and another in the Time Supreme Metac, he felt assured about his chances of escaping from the Dao Lords even if the plan went sideways really quickly.

This reason and many others encouraged him to give the plan a go. So he activated the Time Loop Metac.

When he activated the Time Loop Metac, nothing seemed to happen. Only Loki knew that he had set up an anchor and dropped it into the River of Time at that point in time.

The anchor cost him 9(Cultivation Rank) × 81(Supreme Metac) × 9(Divine Rank), which is 6,561 years of lifespan. But this was just the start.

For every second that the Time Loop runs from this moment, he would need to spend 81 years of lifespan. This running expense won’t stop until he drops the second anchor and sets the boundaries for the time loop.

He can set up the second anchor at any time from this moment. The choice of when to do so is up to him. But the longer he waits, the more lifespan he will use up to set the time loop.

After he sensed the anchor in the River of Time, he nodded and said, "Let’s go."

Then he rushed in the direction of the underground caves. He traveled in the third dimension so that he would be able to cover more distance this way.

At this point, no Dao Lord was watching him. They were paying attention to him in various ways, though. And they had different plans for him.

Through their various methods of monitoring the Sea of Worlds, they saw him leave the River of Death and leave in a random direction. Many of them wanted to know what he had gone down into the River of Death to do, so they were itching to make a move.
