Chapter 511: Chapter 511: Pokemon master of tactics - 511
Several weeks passed quickly.
During that period, quite a lot had changed in Alex's life.
Not only had Ditto's potential finally reached the Diamond tier after consuming a tremendous amount of resources, but Banette and Ninetales had also improved significantly and were now both very close to reaching Diamond potential themselves.
This progress made Alex extremely satisfied.
After all, every Pokémon that successfully reached Diamond potential represented a massive long-term increase in strength for his team in the Future.
Although the process consumed an absurd amount of money and resources, Alex still believed it was worth every PokéDollar he invested.

At the same time, some else was developing even faster than he had originally expected.
Thanks to its overwhelming popularity, Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game was no longer sold exclusively within Hoenn.
The card game had now spread to every major Alliance region and was rapidly becoming popular in all of them.
The biggest reason for this explosive growth was undoubtedly the anime adaptation.
Even people who had never shown interest in card games before became interested after watching the anime.
The combination of flashy monsters, strategic duels, emotional storylines, and memorable characters attracted an enormous audience surprisingly quickly.
Children and Teenagers loved it.
Even many adults found themselves becoming interested in the game after watching their children play.
Alex had intentionally kept the products relatively cheap.
Booster packs were sold for only 10 PokéDollars, while starter decks cost 30 PokéDollars.
These prices were low enough that even completely ordinary families—ones without a registered Pokémon Trainer or significant wealth—could still comfortably afford them.
As a result, sales numbers exploded.
The lower prices dramatically increased accessibility, allowing an enormous number of people to begin collecting cards or playing casually.
Of course, the real money came from volume. And the volume was absolutely massive.
Factories were producing cards almost nonstop, yet demand still continued rising every single month.
Last month alone, Alex's company generated approximately 35 million PokéDollars in revenue.
Even by Alex's current standards, that was an extremely impressive amount of money.
Naturally, not all of that revenue became profit.
After taxes, manufacturing costs, shipping expenses, employee salaries, and various other operational expenses were deducted, Alex's actual net profit for the month amounted to approximately 18 million PokéDollars.
Even so, 18 million PokéDollars pro monat remained an enormous amount of money.
Most Elite-level Trainers would struggle to earn even a fraction of that amount consistently. Yet Alex was now generating such profits every single month while still continuing to grow.
And the most important detail was that the business had clearly not yet reached its peak.
Sales figures continued increasing month after month, with no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Alex suspected that once international tournaments, competitive leagues, and larger promotional events were introduced later, the profits would likely increase even further.
Another important matter was that today began the registration process for the Hoenn Champion Tournament, an event he fully intended to participate in.
However, before he could officially finalize his registration, Alex first had to resolve a rather troublesome dilemma.
Namely, he needed to decide which six Pokémon he would register for the tournament.
Once the tournament began, registered Pokémon could no longer be swapped out afterward.
That meant Alex had to make his final decision today. Five Pokémon were already completely certain in his mind.
Crobat. Scizor. Gardevoir. Umbreon. Blaziken.
These five were unquestionably his strongest Pokémon overall and also possessed a clear level advantage over his other team members.
Choosing them had been an easy decision.
The real problem concerned the sixth and final slot.
For that position, Alex currently had three possible candidates:
Ditto, Banette, and Alolan Ninetales.
All three Pokémon were currently at roughly the same level, yet each offered completely different advantages.
Alex leaned back slightly in his chair while silently considering the matter. Objectively speaking, there was no completely wrong choice among the three.
